Yesterday, a video tweeted by out-of-job, unfunny comedian, Kunal Kamra triggered outrage on Twitter. The unimpressive standup comedian heckled top journalist, Arnab Goswami on an IndiGo flight and later tweeted a video of the entire incident.
I did this for my hero…

In this video, it can be seen that Kamra suffered verbal diarrhoea and went on to make all possible attempts in the 1 minute 51 seconds long video to provoke the Republic TV Editor-in-Chief. However, Goswami maintained his composure and remained glued to his laptop.
At the beginning of the video, Kamra can be heard saying, “Here I’m asking coward Arnab Goswami a question about his journalism and he is doing exactly what I expected him to do.” Going a step further in order to grab some attention, he added, “He’s (Arnab Goswami) being a coward. First, he called me mentally unstable, and now he’s saying ‘I’m watching something’. He’s not ready to answer my questions, viewers.”
Realising that his cheap antics were not making much of a difference, Kunal Kamra also tried taunting Goswami by calling him ‘Nationalist’ as if being a staunch nationalist is a matter of shame. Despite Kamra’s repeated provocations and distasteful remarks, Arnab made it a point not to react or reply to the unimpressive comedian.
Had Arnab Goswami wanted he could have raised a hue and cry against Kamra, but then this is exactly what the latter would have wanted. Kamra is a failed comedian and creating controversies is essentially a matter of survival for him.
Had Arnab cared to reply or react to Kamra’s provocations, it could have easily spiralled into a provocation that would have unnecessarily escalated matters. Had a quarrel broken out mid-air, emergency landing or such other measure would have become inevitable creating hardships for the passengers through no fault of theirs.
Unlike Kamra, Arnab Goswami is highly successful in his area of work. His channel, Republic TV continues to be the most-watched news channel in India, and the left-liberal cabal loves to hate him. While Kamra would have benefitted by creating a huge controversy, Goswami’s reputation would have been at stake.
Had the matter escalated, the entire Lutyens’ gang would have come out hounding him. The incident would have been used against him and attempts would have been made to defame him.
Throughout the video, Kunal Kamra makes every possible embittered remark. But Goswami did not even care. Kamra’s attempts to provoke and escalate matters thus failed miserably. Now, he has come out looking like a desperate attention-seeker. Goswami’s silence and composure was indeed the best possible reply to the so-called stand-up comedian.
