Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan is in the news once again, but this time for the wrong reasons. She raised a storm as she accused the police of making Afzal Guru a scapegoat, insinuating that the terrorist involved in the attack on the Indian Parliament was innocent.
Soni Razdan recently tweeted, “This is travesty of justice. Who is going to bring back a man from the dead if he is innocent? This is why the death penalty is not to be used lightly, and this is why there also needs to be a solid enquiry into why Afzal Guru was made the scapegoat.”

Let us have a look into the claims of Soni Razdan. She claimed that Afzal Guru might have been innocent, and he was made a scapegoat in order to protect high-grade officers. She was referring to the recent arrest of J & K cop Davinder Singh, who was caught ferrying two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists.
Needless to say, the netizens on social media trolled Soni left right and centre. A twitter user Nandini Idnani wrote, “Shame on you. What about those people who lost their lives in saving our Parliament and elected MPs? Scapegoat my Foot. That’s why we #Boycott Chhapaak, #Boycott Shikaara.”

Soniji, Afzal Guru 's case was fought by many well-known lawyers. In 12 years his lawyers could not prove his innocence. You never asked Farooq Abdulla govt why DSP Devider was shielded? During the Parliament attack of 2001, 14 innocents were killed can we have them back?

However, one forgets that Soni Razdan is the mother of actress Alia Bhatt, both in terms of relationships as well as IQ. The only difference is that Alia Bhatt makes really ‘cute’ mistakes, while Soni Razdan makes no mistakes, but royal blunders, enough to make even the most loyal leftist face palm himself/herself. Who can forget Alia’s legendary reply to the question ‘Who is the President of India’?
Just recently, when Alia came out in support of the students of Jamia Milia Islamia, she uploaded the photo of the Preamble of the Constitution, only to be realised that she had uploaded the original Preamble, which didn’t contain the words ‘Socialist’ and ‘Secular’ in the same. So cute, isn’t it?
However, it seems that Soni Razdan is way ahead of Alia Bhatt in making such mistakes. Her allegations sometimes amount to borderline hysteria, for example, when she appealed to people to vote anyone but PM Modi, she tweeted, “I am Junaid Khan. I was a Muslim boy, aged 15 years. I was killed in a train because I was a Muslim. Remember this fact when you go out to vote.”
However, she didn’t stop there. When the Central Government implemented the Citizenship Amendment Act, which fast-tracked citizenship for those persecuted on religious basis in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, Soni Razdan wailed on Twitter, “The India that we know and love, this is the end of it. At least for those who know it well.”
To be honest, our left-oriented intellectuals and artistes have had a sole objective: their agenda should reign supreme, come what may. In context with the ridiculous claims made by Soni Razdan, to modify the iconic quote of Atal Bihari Vajpayee: Sarkarein aati jaati rahengi magar ye ‘Agenda’ Rahna Chahiye [Governments may come and go but the agenda should remain]
