Who set the dragon’s tail on fire? As India snatches Sri Lanka, China goes super crazy

Ni Hao Jinping!

China, Gotabaya, India, Sri Lanka

In what has hit the interests of China extremely hard again, Sri Lanka’s newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has recently visited India. One can guess the anguish from the fact that just before his visit to India, the official newspaper of China i.e. Global Times advised India to learn diplomacy from the dragon.

On 28 November, the Global Times published an article in which it claimed that the whole world is moving forward by accepting the truth while India is going backward. The Global Times wrote that India does not know how to treat its neighbors properly, and that is why it is lagging behind China on every scale. While the truth is that if the right word is used for China’s diplomacy, it would be hooliganism. That is because China first lends its influence to small countries by giving them big loans and later terms them as the success of their diplomacy.

However, within 24 hours of the publication of this article from the Global Times, India once again made it clear that India is still no pushover when it comes to diplomacy and what China calls the success of diplomacy is actually China’s economic hooliganism. In fact, with the visit of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to India, India snatched Gotabaya from the grip of China.

Making a bold move to be precise, India announced a grant of US $ 450 million to Sri Lanka, of which India will issue a Line of Credit to Sri Lanka worth US $ 400 million, while Sri Lanka will be paid US $ 50 million to fight terror. Additional funding shall be provided in dollars.

Apart from this, India has also given financial assistance to Sri Lanka and also assured to build houses under the India Housing Project for the Tamil community in Sri Lanka. So far, 46 thousand houses have been built under this housing project started by the Government of India.

With this, an additional 14 thousand houses are being built for people of Tamil origin. Apart from this, India has also decided to give a loan of $ 100 million for the solar project. On the other hand, Gotabaya also stood with PM Modi and made such statements that would have aggravated the suffering of Chinese President Jinping sitting away. Rajapaksa once again ensured India that no third country would interfere in the relations between India and Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan President also announced to take steps towards handing back all the Indian boats in Sri Lanka’s possession to India.

Global Times should get this clear that India is neither fond of grabbing the land of any other country like China, nor do we use our economic power to create unethical pressure on other countries. India tries to help other countries by respecting their sovereignty. Therefore, under the UN Peace Mission, Indian soldiers are the largest number of personnel deployed in other countries. Along with this, India is also taking part in development work in Afghanistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Under this diplomacy, India has now put Sri Lanka in its court. India’s diplomacy needs no proof of China, and India’s diplomacy with Sri Lanka makes it clear that India has defeated China in Sri Lanka’s ground.
