Lucknow was known for its ‘Tehzeeb’, some rogue elements of the city burnt it openly

Lucknow goons must be nabbed

Lucknow, violence, Anti-CAA protests

The anti CAA protesters tried to up the ante yet again even as the left-liberals continue to spread fear and rumours about the Amendment legislation. Relentless, fake propaganda and fear-mongering has again caused widespread violence in different parts of the country, with Lucknow and Ahmedabad emerging as the major targets of widespread violence.

Uttar Pradesh’s Capital city, Lucknow witnessed incidents of stone-pelting and arson. Media was also targeted and several OB vans were set ablaze. Several police vehicles were set on fire and a police chowki in Madeyganj was also set on fire.

A total of 20 motorcycles, 10 cars, 3 buses and 4 media OB vans were torched by the violent mobs in the area surrounding Parvati Chowk in Lucknow.

Several other areas such as Hazratganj, Hasanganj and Khadra also witnessed ugly scenes of arson and vandalism.

It is pertinent to mention here that a protester identified as Mohammed Vakil has died due to a bullet injury. However, the bullet was not fired by the police. UP DGP OP Singh said, “No death in police firing, police will investigate the reason. we are looking at the CCTV footages.” The fact that the protester was hit by a bullet that was not fired by the police reveals a dangerous trend. Till now, the anti CAA stir witnessed violence in the form of stone-pelting, arson and vandalism. However, this casualty shows that the anti CAA hooligans might also be looking to take up weapons in rioting, and thus the security agencies will have to be very careful from here on.

Meanwhile Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath has given a big statement about the rioting that took place in Lucknow yesterday. He has said that those who vandalised public property in Lucknow and other areas would be arrested and their properties will be auctioned by the government in order to compensate for the loss caused to public property.

Ahmedabad in Gujarat also witnessed even more disturbing scenes. One of the videos that has gone viral on social media shows a violent, bigoted mob pelting stones at police vehicles and personnel. What is particularly disturbing is the visual of police personnel being cornered by a blood-thirsty mob which then tries to lynch him. A total of 12 policemen have been injured by the murderous mobs in Ahmedabad. Another video from Shah-e-Alam area in Ahmedabad captures how violent mobs cornered some police personnel into one particular corner and then started pelting stones at them indiscriminately.

The modus operandi in Delhi’s Seelampur, Ahmedabad and Lucknow is remarkably identical. Violent, bigoted mobs turn violent owing to the systematic misinformation campaign that has been launched by vested interests against the CAA. These violent mobs then outnumber the police personnel in a pre-planned manner and try to overpower them. Dozens of police personnel have been injured in these accidents. A bomb is said to have exploded in a protester’s hand at Delhi’s Seelampur which he intended to throw at police personnel. Moreover, in Lucknow, a protester died of what looks like a freak, bullet injury. The bullet was not fired by the police and therefore it must have been fired by someone among the violent mobs. In Ahmedabad, a murderous, violent mob tried to lynch a police personnel.

Seelampur or Syria? The protests in Delhi were nothing short of a full blown terror attack

From these instances, it is clear that what these violent mobs are trying to do is to cause serious injuries or even fatalities on the police personnel. These are not cases of peaceful protests taking the shape of violence contrary to what the left-liberals opposing the CAA are trying to claim. This seems to be a well-orchestrated, sinister conspiracy and the government must probe this order to nab those who are responsible for creating unrest across the country.
