Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha – He came, He saw and He conquered

Mota bhai rocks

Amit Shah, CAB

Schooling the senior Congressmen like never before, Home Minister Amit Shah went on like a raging tiger, giving befitting answers to all their rumours, fear and dilemma over the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), which has been passed in Rajya Sabha. Home Minister addressed all the issues pitched by 44 MPs including the senior Congress leaders like Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma and Kapil Sibal.

While answering the opposition’s questions such as of ‘political benefit’, historical reference and the need of CAB, HM Amit Shah quoted the Nehru- Liaquat Pact or the Delhi Pact said that this bill rectifies the historical wrong which was created by the partition of the country on religious lines. India has upheld its commitment to protecting its minorities, in line with the Nehru-Liaquat pact. “Muslims have become election commissioners, chief justice, presidents and vice-presidents while there were several laws in Pakistan specifically to persecute the minority. Minorities in India are safe,” he said. He accused Pakistan of not upholding its commitment, saying the population of minorities has reduced over the years.

Exposing the hypocrisy of Congress and its Muslim appeasement, Shah also said that the Bill deals with giving citizenship to persecuted religious communities from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. “This Bill does not have anything to do with taking away the citizenship of Indians. So why is the opposition talking about Indian Muslims? Their citizenship is safe,” he said. He further asked why the Congress’ secularism is exclusive for the Muslims while this government has worked for all the faiths equally.

Amit Shah asked that the people who are responsible for making the lives hell of these persecuted minorities are now asking them are you not a citizen of India? They have turned so generous now? They are now unknown to their misery, they have shut their eyes and ears. Answering the question raised by Ghulam Nabi Azad that how these countries were selected for this bill, Shah said that this is not the first time that this kind of legislature is put on the table, it has been done particularly for Sri Lanka and for Uganda too. As Kapil Sibal stated that no Muslim is afraid of Amit Shah or this government he replied that its true and that what he was saying that Minorities in India have been protected.

Home Minister Amit Shah answered those who were spreading lies that the number of such persecuted people is too small to make a law for it, said that the actual number of the persecuted minorities of three neighbouring countries could be running in lakhs or crores. They cannot reveal their identity due to lack of legal protection, now as Modi government has made a law regarding this, they will reveal themselves in large number.

Amit Shah has exposed the true secularism of Congress in Rajya Sabha as Congress’ secularism means Muslim appeasement, with leaders such as Kapil Sibal, Congress is burning its own pyre. Amit Shah, who has been at the forefront for the issues such as NRC and the CAB, has created an aura of a politician who can deliver when it comes to fulfilling his promises. With his befitting replies to the propaganda and rumours of the left-liberals, he has once again approved his hawkish-nationalist credentials.

Amit Shah stated that Indira Gandhi refused to take the Sri Lankans while she was welcoming the refugees from Bangladesh in 1971, similarly giving political colours to this bill is no good. He further stated that Article 14’s Right to Equality does not bar from making such legislations based on reasonable classification.

Clarifying his stand on Rohingyas, he said that Rohingyas enter our country as illegal migrants via Bangladesh his government’s stand on illegal migrants is clear.

Assuring his government’s commitment to the northeastern states, he assured that this bill would not be a problem for people of the northeast as the government would never dilute Article 371. The protection of culture and people of the northeast is the duty and commitment of the government.

Amit Shah mercilessly schooled the liberals by saying, “Don’t teach me the meaning of the idea of India as I was born here only, I know the idea of India.” He warned the liberals to stop their propaganda against this bill as it will not harm anyone.

The hypocrisy of the Shiv Sena must also be noted as it has extended support to the bill a day earlier in the Lok Sabha and now they staged a walkout against this bill. The dual nature of the Shiv Sena is only because of its sudden love for secularism.

Lastly, He wondered why the speeches of the Congress leader are similar to the leaders of Pakistan whether its surgical strike, article 370 or CAB, the line of Congress and Pakistan is always same. Pakistan’s PM even quoted the statement of congress leaders in UN.
