Idiocy and absurdity would be the most correct phrases to explicate the political childishness of Priyanka Chaturvedi. She got the former quality from his previous master Rahul Gandhi and while another one maybe is the gift from the neo Rahul Gandhi of the Indian politics.
In a recently wrote piece for the NDTV, Priyanka compared the Modi regime to the barbaric, anti Hindu rule of the Mughals while comparing the Shiv Sena’s ascendance to CM’s post to the ascendance of the great Hindu King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
She stated in the article, “To understand the context and the pride it takes in its own identity and place at the power table, it’s important to recall how the ascendance and assertion by Chhatrapati Shivaji led to the weakening dominance of the rulers of Delhi.” This clearly shows her lost minded attitude towards the serious ideological bankruptcy her party Shiv Sena has invited by aligning with the NCP and Congress.
Priyanka is comparing this unholy alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress with Chattrapati Shivaji, and Modi government as ‘rulers in Delhi’, like Islamic or British rulers.
This is childish even to imagine such a thing, however, checking her track record, Priyanka never made too much sense, but this is beyond ridiculous as till the election she has been putting the Congress and NCP under the same bracket of being anti Hindu. Priyanka’s attempt at whitewashing the pro Hindu policies including the recent actions of government has made her and her parties ideology a farce. This clear betrayal of an ideological ally and of the electorate’s mandate is for anything but the hindutva cause.
Priyanka did not even stop there but she went on to talk about the ‘coalition dharma’, she wrote, “The change in leadership(of BJP) also brought in changes in the equation that led to the Shiv Sena charting its own journey in 2014, only to return to the NDA after the election. The distribution of power in the state however was not equitable and also led to cracks in the alliance; but, as coalition dharma mandates, the Shiv Sena, keeping the state of Maharashtra above its own interests, took this in their stride.”
Priyanka and the Shiv Sena should understand that the Mahayuti was voted to power, to stay in power the way it functioned earlier. However, Shiv Sena took to this unholy alliance. Shiv Sena should scrutinize that the trojan horses like Priyanka, who jumped ship from Congress, moved on to babysit Aditya Thackeray has no real ideological affiliations rather than she works for the very personal benefits. She has done nothing for the people or for the Hindu cause to deserve anything. It can be seen from her changing almost fluid ideological leanings. She’s a con and while assuming her political no- ideology mindset, her political stature shall remain restricted to a stooge. She has remained an eyesore in the Shiv Sena, and now even more so– for her invocation of Ch. Shivaji is an affront to the King’s legacy, an affront to Balasaheb’s legacy. Most importantly the workers of the party have been in despair over her appointment as deputy leader in the party as she has done no good for the party or hindutva.
She is ecstatic for the fact that all her masters are together in one alliance – the Pawars, the Gandhis, and the new Thackerays who have little idea what they are up for.
She is one living sign of the fact that Shiv Sena wandered away from its ideological principles long ago. Priyanka’s Congress problem— the harassment case and the way Sonia Gandhi reinstated her harasser is forgotten and forgiven now as she is gushing about the same Sonia and the Congress.
This remark by her in the article has all the reasons to believe she puts no weight on thinking at all, she goes, “However the pushback from the people against single-party dominance was witnessed in the state elections that followed soon after the general elections of 2019 that gave the BJP a brute majority at the centre. What was predicted to be a clean sweep for BJP in Haryana and Maharashtra turned out quite differently. What was significant in Maharashtra was that the challenger to the BJP’s path to power was, in fact, its longest-standing ally, the Shiv Sena,” this indicates about the lack of clarity she faces as the single party dominance of the BJP would be stronger as it had ended up being the only party to talk about Hindutva.
These are all the reason to ensure that Priyanka Chaturvedi’s dismissal from the Shiv Sena is the most crucial step the party needs to take.
