In what will be marked as another red-letter day in the history of the Indian judiciary, a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi pronounced its decision in favour of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas in the Ayodhya title dispute case.
The court considered that Sri Rama was born at the disputed site, and they also pronounced for the decision to build a mosque at an alternative 5-acre plot of land in Ayodhya for the Muslims.
There are many people to thank for this positive development, which will pave way for a new Bharat. The general perception of the dispute had, thanks to politics and a divisive media coverage, morphed into a Hindu vs Muslim issue wherein the prevalence of a Ram Mandir at the site could only mean the marginalisation of the Muslim community, regardless of facts. However, shattering this narrative, were some prominent Muslims who spoke truth to the overpowering leftist lobby, and put justice above all else by supporting the call for the restoration of the Ram Janmbhoomi complex. Following are some of those Muslims who rooted for the Ram Mandir, their views based on different aspects of the case, and made a huge difference.
Dr KK Muhammed
Former regional director (north) of the Archaeological Survey of India, Shri KK Muhammed was the one who had proven the existence of a Hindu structure at the disputed site. Against a horde of historians turned ‘distorians’, KK Muhammed stood strong and asserted the importance and legitimacy of ASI’s archaeological findings in Ayodhya.
Despite being hounded, and even sacked from his job, KK Muhammed did not budge even an inch from his stance. He maintained that it was a Hindu structure that was demolished to make way for the controversial Babri structure. He was one of the few Indians who backed the call for Ram Mandir, despite being hounded day and night by the leftist cabal for the same. He was even awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions last year.
As the verdict was pronounced, KK Muhammed felt elated. In a conversation with ANI, he said, “On the basis of archaeological & historical evidences that were supplied by ASI, court came to conclusion that there was a huge magnificent temple earlier & we should build a new temple once more.”
He also added, “I feel vindicated (he had said Ram temple existed before Babri mosque in Ayodhya), I was hounded by a group of people. It is exactly the kind of decision that we all wanted.”
Waseem Rizvi
From the point of view of religion, a certain leftist cabal established the norm that being Muslim meant trashing the Ram Janmabhoomi claim of Hindus, regardless of facts. However, a striking anomaly here was the Head of the Shia Waqf Board, Syed Waseem Rizvi, who raised eyebrows when he announced his unequivocal support for the construction of the Ram Janmbhoomi complex at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
He even suggested that the mosque could be built at an alternative place, something with which even the Supreme Court agreed to.
Apart from that, Syed Waseem Rizvi is also the one who produced Ram Ki Janmbhoomi, a film that unapologetically presented the actual reality about the issue and the controversies surrounding the same.
To quote his address, “Everyone is familiar with my stand on the issue. I have tried to broker an out-of-court settlement by suggesting that a Ram temple be built in Ayodhya at the disputed site. In lieu, a mosque ‘Masjid-e-Aman’ should be constructed in Lucknow.”
Justice Syed Abdul Nazeer
From the judicial perspective, Justice Syed Abdul Nazeer, who was part of the five-judge bench also ruled in favour of restoring the Ram Mandir at the disputed site. He deserves our appreciation and gratefulness for giving an objective, unbiased judgement is Justice Syed Abdul Nazeer, one of the five judges of the Supreme Court who presided over this case.
The bench had given a unanimous, 5-0 verdict in the favour of the restoration of the Ram Janmbhoomi complex, and Justice Nazeer had an important role to play in it.
There are many such people like the above, who did not fall for the hate-mongering of the left-liberal intelligentsia and kept the national interests above everything else in terms of supporting the verdict for Ram Janmbhoomi complex.
