As the nation mourned Kamlesh Tiwari’s killing, these people gleefully congratulated each other

What a shame!

Kamlesh Tiwari

Kamlesh Tiwari, 43, was killed at his residence in the Naka neighbourhood of Lucknow on Friday. His throat was barbarically cut and he was shot multiple times and died while being escorted to a hospital. At a time when such a stinging murder has taken place, one would expect people across religion, caste or creed lines to maintain a moment of dignity and pray for the lost soul. But there are some miscreants who have not understood the gravity of the situation and instead tried to make fun of the situation by writing insensitive comments. There are no prizes for guessing which section of society has been taking the potshots at the situation as grim as this.

Since the news broke out of the murder of former Hindu Mahasabha member Kamlesh Tiwari, the anger has been constantly brewing in the country. In the last 10 days, there have been similar incidents where BJP leaders or specifically Hindus have been targeted and fatally executed. Unfortunately, there is a section of society in the country which is celebrating the whole incident and rejoicing the killing of a person. Some of the screenshots that have been discovered by team TFI might rile you up as the amount of indecency and apathy is appalling. You can definitely disagree with someone’s opinion or even their comments because you have every right to do so. But making fun of killing cannot be accepted in any way. By reading the tasteless comments of the peaceful community on Facebook, you can know for yourself how such creatures give a bad taste to the whole community.

Some people have stooped so low that they can be seen giving congratulatory messages in response to such a horrifying and disturbing news.

Such people are a blot on the society who are trying to break the harmony and integrity, by and due to these the whole community is often put in the dock. It is not a virtue of a dignified society when a particular community celebrates killing of a person. Glorifying a crime is a sin bigger than actually committing it. The timing of the murder which occurred merely two days after arguments in the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute was concluded in the highest court of law after a marathon 40-day hearing where the Muslim-side finally accepted their defeat, is an even greater cause of concern. And when such fringe elements make light of such a heinous crime, the only question arises is that- has humanity really become so shallow and in a country like India where we celebrate our differences and co-exist together, we are subjected to such hideous remarks on social media platforms. The freedom of speech is only curtailed when the so-called oppressed minority is involved but when a man like Kamlesh Tiwari speaks out his mind (for which he was categorically condemned from all quarters) he is thrown in the jail and ends up with a fate where he is subjected to torture and ultimately death is the result. But hey! We are Hindus and we are not tolerant enough. Mic Drop.
