The Congress party in power in the state of Rajasthan led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday reiterated its strong hatred for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) and its supporters. Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasara divided the teachers into political parties in the Teacher Award distribution ceremony held in the State Congress Committee office on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
According to a report by Aajtak, those teachers supporting Rashtriya Swaiyamsewak Sangh’s (RSS) ideology would be ripped-off of their prime postings and it would be given away to Congress supporters. This but nothing proves the shallow mentality of Congress and its not so senile ministers who are trying to create rift between people and professionals of different ideologies. The foul-mouthed minister went as far as saying that Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot had themselves instructed the party-cadre to take care of the transfer of congress supporters across the state.
“Congress-supported teachers were harassed and transferred hundreds of kilometres away in the BJP rule. But now they will get 100 percent justice and will get it soon.” said the Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasara. His announcement was met by chants of ‘Zindabad’ from the teachers present there, which sets a dangerous precedent. The notorious minister had previously said that Pandit Deendayal Uppadhaya, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Dr. Hegdewar had no real contribution in India’s freedom struggle and development.
Since assuming the power in state, Congress government has not been focused on achieving any major developmental goals albeit it has been only about overturning the decisions taken by the previous Vasundhra Raje-led BJP government and loud jingoism. The perpetration of political motives through teachers and textbooks is one of the nasty trick employed by Congress to push through their agenda.
Earlier this year, the Congress government in Rajasthan had decided to change the biography of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar which is taught in schools. According to the Rajasthan government, the reason behind the change in the syllabus was that the existing version served political interests of the RSS and previous BJP government. The same minister Govind Dotasara had said that the syllabus of Savarkar would be changed in order to teach history to the students “the correct way”. The Rajasthan government said that Vasundhara Raje government has portrayed Savarkar in a far stronger light and alleged that it was done at the behest of RSS.
However, Congress by meddling with history to suit its current political agenda has certainly hit a sliding slope. Efforts to remove the biases of British have been perpetually opposed however now this blatant attempt to hinder the truth is sure to meet deafening silence from the so-called ‘flag bearers of truth and knowledge’. Not only this narrow-minded step would undermine the quality of teachers teaching the students in state, but it would also lead to creation of a generation that has been brain-washed in a way that is reminiscent of the neo-nazi way of force-feeding your propaganda.
