Avdhesh Dubey, the hawker who was recently involved in a controversy after RPF had taken action against him for illegal hawking is again in the spotlight after his controversial allegations against the RPF.
Now in a new video Avdhesh Dubey has meekly attempted to malign RPF for taking action against his illegal hawking, he has claimed that RPF has been intimidating him and asking him to ‘call PM Modi’. However this meek attempt to cover an illegal activity in political charade is surely not to stand simple scrutiny.

Earlier in a video Avdhesh Dubey was seen imitating and mimicking several politicians while trying to sell toys on a train. However soon after reports of the hawker getting arrested had emerged, several media houses had reported that the hawker in question was arrested on grounds of mocking the politicians ‘including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’. The Quint which has been called out a number of times for spreading fake and misleading news also joined in the trend and wrote an article titled, “Hawker Arrested After Imitating Politicians Wants to Do Stand-up” on similar lines, indicating that the hawker had been arrested after he imitated politicians.
However, like most of the times, mainstream media had failed to report objective facts. The media in their report failed to mention that Avdhesh Dubey, the hawker in question was arrested for being a repeat offender for illegal hawking in trains and not because he was mocking certain politicians.
Avdhesh Dubey was among 9 others who were detained on similar charges, he and others were produced before the magistrate on 31st of May. Avdhesh Dubey had later confessed before the Magistrate for the 12th time that he has been indulging in illegal hawking for long. His repeated offenses were likely to be the reason behind his increased quantum of punishment.
After his release from Jail, in another video Avdhesh Dubey was also seen advocating and praising the rape convict Narayan Sai and he also revealed parts of the conversation that he had with the rape convict during his imprisonment. He said, “When I was jailed I was very excited to meet Narayan Sai as he was in the same jail, on Saturday in the afternoon I met Narayan Sai and I told him that I have to get him out at any cost..i even told the Magistrate to send me to jail as I have to meet baba (Narayan Sai) at any cost.” He further reveals what Narayan Sai allegedly asked from him. Avdhesh Dubey quotes Narayan Sai, “If you want to get me (Narayan Sai) released then go outside, start a movement, take support of the media so that I can be released.” In this video he also claimed that he got preferential treatment because of his earlier praise of PM Modi in a viral video.
However with the sequence of events that followed Avdhesh Dubey’s viral train hawking video, taking PM’s name clearly didn’t get him any preferential treatment. The Railway Protection Force RPF had diligently executed their duties in the interest of passenger’s safety and current prevailing rules and regulations. However also this new connection with a rape convict surfacing this surely raises serious doubts over the credibility of said Avdhesh Dubey on his allegations against the RPF.
