It seems that Akshay Kumar has bagged yet another patriotic project for himself. According to the reports posted by Mumbai Mirror, Akshay Kumar is in talks with famous director, Neeraj Pandey, whose next project shall be based on the charismatic IPS officer and our current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

The tabloid mentioned, “Mirror has learnt that their next is a thriller in the same zone as Baby. According to a source close to the development, the film will revolve around the career highlights of the fifth and current National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Ajit Doval.

Work on the script has begun and research is underway but there is still time before the project rolls. Neeraj will first make Chanakya with Ajay Devgn, which was announced a few months ago. Akshay also has to complete prior commitments. The team wants to lock the script before making an official announcement.”

If the project is finalized, this shall be another feather in the cap of Akshay Kumar, who has already mesmerized the masses with his thoughtful projects, such as ‘Baby’, ‘Airlift’, ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Gold’, ‘Kesari’ as the list goes on. Right now, Akshay is all set to inspire millions with his multi starrer project ‘Mission Mangal’, based on India’s first and highly successful space mission to the Mars.

Besides, Ajit Doval is a personality who deserves a biopic of his own. Beginning his career with the Kerala cadre as an IPS officer from the 1968 batch, Ajit was actively involved in anti-Insurgency operations in Mizoram and Punjab. He even spent seven years in Pakistan incognito, gathering crucial information for his nation. He was also instrumental in the negotiations to facilitate the release of passengers from lC-814 in Kandahar in 1999.

As the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has been extremely instrumental in curbing cross border, as well as institutionalized terrorism throughout the nation. Earlier this year, he was part of the core team that strategised the Balakot airstrike on February 26. Doval served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau in 2004—05, after spending a decade as the head of its operation wing. He is also the recipient of the Kirti Chakra, one of the highest military gallantry awards, a rare honour for an Indian Police Service officer.

This shall be the third biopic for Neeraj Pandey, famous for his movies ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Baby’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘MS Dhoni – the Untold Story’.  He is already working with Ajay Devgn on the magnum opus based on the exploits of Acharya Chanakya, who shaped the map of modern India and helped Chandragupta Maurya in liberating Magadha from the tyranny of their despotic ruler, Dhana Nanda.

If the project on Ajit Doval materializes, Neeraj Pandey and Akshay Kumar shall do a great service in paying a generous tribute to the charismatic IPS officer, who has given his all to protect the nation from all kinds of trouble.
