As per latest reports, around 70 terrorists and hardcore pro-Pakistan separatists were airlifted in a special IAF plane from Jammu & Kashmir to Agra. As per The Pioneer, the decision to shift these ‘trouble makers’ was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by the National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, during his stay in the valley.

The Prisons Department of the Jammu & Kashmir Police had submitted a fresh report which included details of past records of these terrorists and hardcore separatists lodged in separate jails of the valley. This decision has been taken amidst an unprecedented clampdown in the valley. According to ANI, some of the individuals shifted to Agra were already in jail, while others were apprehended recently after observing their activities.

It must be noted that after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India, Pakistan has been trying to interfere in India’s internal matters and Pakistan PM Imran Khan, through his tweets and his recent address in a joint session of the Pakistani Parliament, has been making provocative claims of an imminent Pakistani offensive action against India. So much so that Imran Khan even went to the lengths of shamefully claiming that India would have to face Pulwama like terror attacks after taking away the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. In the joint session, Imran Khan said “attacks like Pulwama are bound to happen again. I can already predict this will happen. They will attempt to place the blame on us again. They may strike us again, and we will strike back.”

As per a News Nation report, soon after Imran Khan’s provocative statement, Rauf Azghar, the younger brother of Jaish chief Maulana Masood Azahar, reached Pakistan occupied Kashmir, after a meeting at Rawalpindi in Pakistan. It is clear that Pakistan has been left aghast after India’s move of scrapping Article 370. Now, that the valley is preparing itself for a big leap and brisk development, Pakistan is keen on pulling things back by infiltrating terrorism into India. In such circumstances, India has taken a rather pro-active move by taking pro-Pakistani separatist elements out of the valley.

By moving these terrorists and separatists to Agra, it is clear that the government has taken a big step towards ending the ordeal of Kashmir valley. It has suffered the scourge of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for decades. Now, that the government has taken the big step, it has definitely come as a shocker for Pakistan which can indulge in rather iniquitous actions in order to disrupt peace in the valley. Therefore, the government must take all possible steps necessary to keep Pakistan at bay.
