Trudeau govt deletes references to Sikh extremism and Khalistan from the Public Report on Terrorism Threat to Canada

Trudeau, Khalistan

In their latest report on threat from internal terror, Canadian government, headed by controversial PM Justin Trudeau, has once against raised eyebrows by deleting terms such as ‘Sikh Extremism’, ‘Khalistan’ from the mentioned report.

‘2018 Public Report on the Terrorism Threat to Canada’, which focused on the threats from internal terror to Canada. In the report, there were certain references to Sikh extremism and Khalistan, which allegedly would have dented the ruling party’s voter base, and this pressurized the Canadian government to remove the words from the report.

Following constant pressure from all corners, the Canadian government acceded to the pressure, and updated the report. Following is an excerpt from the note in the updated report:-

“A review of the language used to describe extremism has been undertaken and is ongoing. The Government’s communication of threats must be clear, concise, and cannot be perceived as maligning any groups. As we continue this review, it is apparent that in outlining a threat, it must be clearly linked to an ideology rather than a community. The Government will carefully select terminology that focuses on the intent or ideology.”

Endorsing the updated report, Minister of Public Safety, Ralph Goodale spoke, “the languages used to describe some threats unintentionally maligned certain communities… and it is not in the line with the values of the Government of Canada.”

Though atrocious, this doesn’t come as a surprise, since Justin Trudeau is infamous for being too politically correct in order to appease the left-liberal intelligentsia. His Defence Minister, Harjit Singh Sajjan, is a well known Khalistani sympathizer, who didn’t get along well with Captain (Retd). Amarinder Singh, the incumbent CM of Punjab and staunch critic of the Khalistani ideology. The altercation led to Canadian government taking a subtle jibe at Amarinder for standing against terror sympathizers, which led to a royal snub when he visited India on a tour last year.

Besides, Justin Trudeau has been well known for sympathizing with ISIL terrorists, especially those who wanted to return to Canada. As such, bowing down to Sikh extremists is just usual for the current Canadian Prime Minister. It was his this very attitude that earned him a royal rejection from almost the entire Central Government, when he toured the entire India. We wonder how Justin will face the angry Canadian citizens back home when he starts preparing for the upcoming elections.
