Paresh Rawal’s fitting reply to Sagarika and Rajdeep on their ‘Imran prem’

Paresh Rawal, Imran

Yesterday, exultant news came for India when, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan issued a statement and declared the return of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. In his statement, Imran Khan uttered, “As a peace gesture we are releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow”.

After the statement came, the peace mongers went in a state of bliss and started praising the Pakistan’s PM. The liberal mouthpiece Sagarika Ghose praised Imran Khan and lashed PM Modi saying, “With apologies & respect to Modiji, but today he has been outdone and outshone in diplomacy, war strategy and public outreach by a swashbuckling cricket captain Imran Khan”.

On the same tone, her husband and epitome of hypocrisy, Rajdeep Sardesai, twitted, “We in India may not like this, but in terms of pure optics, Imran Khan at the moment is winning the day by taking the moral high ground. We have a strong case on terror but too many of our leaders busy calculating votes at the moment”.

Following the steps of veterans, Rana Ayyub too wrote, “Sensible words from Imran Khan. This should be followed by the release of Wing Commander Abhinandan with the respect he deserves. Escalating this ain’t serving the interests of both the countries”.

However, all of these ‘Make India Great Again’ gang missed a simple fact that there is a pact between all the United Nation members and that is called the Geneva Convention. Pointing to the regulation of the Convention, veteran actor, Paresh Rawal showed the true place of these ‘peace mongers’. In his tweet, Paresh Rawal wrote, “Moral high ground? Heard of Geneva Convention? So now Plz take your tongue of their boots!”

It must be noted here that both India and Pakistan are signatories to the Geneva Conventions and therefore, the neighbouring nation cannot evade its responsibility under the International Convention. Moreover, if in case the IAF officer was not returned to India, it will be considered as an act of war. And in that case, India could have taken any military action. Another noteworthy fact is that Pakistan is the same country which is begging for money from various countries all over the globe and it can’t afford war.

Earlier, Pakistan put forward some conditions for the release of Wing Commander Abhinandan, but a top Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) source claimed, “There will be NO negotiation, NO deal over IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. We demand his unconditional, immediate and safe release. If Pakistan thinks it will use him as a bargaining chip, it will soon be disabused.”

Afterwards, because of diplomatic pressure, Pakistan was forced to release the Wing Commander. Now, 125 crore Indians are waiting for the safe return of their hero. A lionhearted soldier, IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who chased three Pakistani F-16 jets with MiG-21 and shot down one of them, is a true hero in all sense.

If Imran Khan is really concerned about peace as these ‘peace mongers’ are claiming, then he should handover JeM chief Masood Azhar and 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind, Hafiz Saeed. If the terrorist nation really wants peace then they should stop sponsoring terrorism against India. That would be real peace gesture. Only if Paresh Rawal could instill common sense in others.
