Manyata Embassy Business Park is one of the busy I.T parks in Bengaluru that claims to have 68 companies in the tech park and more than 1 lakh employees working there. Known for its traffic jams in the Silicon Valley of India, Manyata tech park witnessed heavy traffic congestion on Monday evening as Rahul Gandhi arrived there to address a bunch of entrepreneurs.

While Rahul Gandhi’s meeting was conducted in a closed environment, the usual I.T crowd working in the tech park was not allowed to participate in the entrepreneurship meet. Several minutes before the arrival of Rahul Gandhi, a lot of young IT employees started gathering near the meeting venue. Triggering a surprise, the techies of Manyata Tech Park suddenly started shouting “Modi Modi”.

The suppression of techies’ voice has triggered a wave of wide anger against the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi among the IT youth of Bengaluru. The Congress party which is vocal of freedom of expression has made the Karnataka police to arrest the techies who were expressing their views in public. The state BJP has condemned the actions of the Congress – JDS government against the IT youth. It stated, “Democracy in Danger. Police arrested few techies for raising pro-Modi slogans at Manyata tech park in Bengaluru. This is the real face of democracy in a Congress – JDS ruled state. It’s total dictatorship where freedom of choice & expression of citizens is suppressed.”
