The Lok Sabha elections are all set to commence from 11 April. Going by the immense popularity generated by their work as well as their approach to governance, the BJP led NDA government is pulling out all stops to ensure that people come out to vote in larger numbers than before. In this regard, PM Narendra Modi has launched an impressive campaign, exhorting various celebrities, politicians, bureaucrats etc. to convince people to vote in larger numbers.
Recently, in a bid to extend his campaign, PM Modi wrote a tweet to cine stars Hrithik Roshan and Ranganathan Madhavan, urging them to promote voting in larger numbers, as shown below:-
Dear @iHrithik and @ActorMadhavan,
Your work has stood out not only for the entertainment quotient but also for the passion and hardwork behind it. As widely respected voices, if you lend your voice towards increasing voter awareness, it strengthens India's democracy. #VoteKar

Like a diligent citizen, R Madhavan replied to PM Modi as follows, supporting his move:-
Dear Shri Modi ji. Sir.Your unrelenting passion for strengthening Democracy in this country, is totally and completely supported by me and it will not just be an Honour and privelege, but my ardent duty to assist you in this endeavor. Thank you for personally reminding us. https://t.co/jD6OIqvQ27

However, this didn’t go down well with the left liberal intelligentsia, who think that it is a sin to even acknowledge the ideals put forward by PM Modi, forget praising him. Moreover, courtesy Madhavan’s upcoming trilingual project ‘Rocketry’, based on the tumultuous life of ISRO scientist S. Nambi Narayanan, has now made him the new punching bag of left liberals. Without hesitating for even a moment, the Congress sponsored cyber bullies swooped down upon the actor, heckling him with the following tweets:-
Aiyyo Maddy! The correct title is Supreme Leader Shri Modi ji… https://t.co/ilPhIqlXMZ

Shri bhi
Ji bhi
Sir bhi
Because “yes master” is so last century. https://t.co/iaYnvcFcEA— Aditi Mittal (@awryaditi) March 25, 2019
Maddy, let me put it differently: would you have responded the same way if a Mamata Banerjee, Kanhaiya Kumar or Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted you the same message/request?

1. Dog whistling doesn't become you.
2. "Please vote" is not a POV in a democracy. It is the reason we are a democracy.
3. Weird flex by ok.

However, they forgot that Madhavan was no pushover. In an extremely classy style, without stooping to their level, Madhavan firmly held his own ground. He specially criticized Sandhya Menon, who was trying to play victim card when confronted for her propaganda, as shown below:-
So “please vote” as opposed to “not voting” IS my point of view in this https://t.co/9JZjgwJWq0 does responding to your tweet become a dog https://t.co/ekM8WNmKhj have done the same by that account. The filth,I resent as much as you do and again denounce them Rigorously I am done https://t.co/e1IFnnsmIr
— Ranganathan Madhavan (@ActorMadhavan) March 25, 2019
I would have done exactly the SAME .. if it was in the Intrest of Democracy and the Nation I would have done EXACTLY THE SAME .. https://t.co/jdWkGIjzQR
— Ranganathan Madhavan (@ActorMadhavan) March 25, 2019
This is not the first time that Madhavan had to face the wrath of the left liberals for having supported PM Modi on a genuine note. A couple of weeks ago, when Congress’ official Twitter handle put up an extremely insulting video, mocking PM Modi’s ‘China diplomacy’, Madhavan had gone hammer and tongs after the party, as he posted the following tweet:-
This is in such bad taste. What ever the political rivalry -Shri Modi Ji is the Prime Minister of this country and you are demeaning this nation in front of China in this video with such crass attempt at humor.NOT expected from this Twitter handle 🙏🙏.@narendramodi @RahulGandhi https://t.co/KJiPyZI7lt
— Ranganathan Madhavan (@ActorMadhavan) March 15, 2019
Aghast at their masters being confronted for peddling lies, the left liberal bullies swooped down upon him, especially Sanjukta Basu, who mocked his approach as follows:-
Lol. Madhavan, relax, this is politics. Congress party will defeat fascism with love and laughter, instead of the fascist party whose most successful strategy is a riot or war, and count seats against dead bodies. But Modi bhakt from Bollywood is understandable 🙂 https://t.co/Aksw4KKEBP
— Dr. Sanjukta Basu, M.A., LLB., PhD (@sanjukta) March 16, 2019
However, without losing his cool, Madhavan sent an effective reply, which was appreciated by most of his fans, as shown below:-
Due respects Mam. Apart from your shallow dig at my industry, I really wish you had the wisdom to understand the gist of my objection.I would have done the same,no matter who the PM & from which party.Strangely the Lofty claims on your profile has no connect with your demure. https://t.co/r1BG9Yyq9T
— Ranganathan Madhavan (@ActorMadhavan) March 16, 2019
To be honest, it is really sad to see that people are being heckled for showing their love towards a leader as charismatic and hard working as PM Narendra Modi. In their blind hatred for this person, the left liberals wouldn’t hesitate in destroying the life of the person who even dares to support PM Modi. However, we’re also delighted to see that people like R Madhavan also exist, who not only stand firm to their principles, but also give these ‘entitled bullies’ a fitting retribution in style.
