At India Today Conclave, PM Modi targets the enemies within

PM Modi, Opposition

In his address at the India Today Conclave, PM Modi took the bull by its horns as he attacked the opposition on a wide range of issues ranging from development to national security.

PM Modi targeted the Lutyens’ cabal who have been gleefully aiding and abetting terrorist nation Pakistan. He said, “I am amused that when the entire country is with the Forces, some people are doubting them. On one hand, the entire world is supporting India against terror, and on the other hand, some parties are doubting our fight against terror — which the Pakistan media and government is using as proof against India.” PM Modi went on to add “These people have graduated from Modi-opposition to India-opposition.” In recent times, the cabal has emerged as the biggest enemy of India. They have come up with many anti-India stories which have even been used by Pakistan to attack India. The Lutyens’ media has become a tool for Pakistani propaganda. In one of the instances, a notorious media portal published a case story about Kulbhushan Jadhav which went on to help Pakistan. There have also been instances in which proofs for grounded surgical strikes were demanded, and now the same thing is being done with the airstrike conducted by Indian Air Force. Some news anchors and journalists are simply acting as the unofficial spokesperson of Pakistan in India.

PM Modi launched a blistering attack on the Congress for undermining the national security, and country’s defence. He said, “Why is it that those who have ruled for so many years have so many defence scams from jeeps to tanks? Who is every deal maker close to? Who is every middleman close to? Every Indian knows and Lutyens Delhi also knows.” He also added, “You will be ashamed to know that not one bulletproof jacket was bought from 2009 to 2014. In our tenure, the corridors of power were free of middlemen because they knew this government would not tolerate corruption.” It seems that Defence and National Security were not on the priority list of previous dispensations.

He attacked the Congress for playing politics over Rafale and undermining Air Force. On Rafale, PM Modi said, “The country has suffered from a shortage of Rafale. India is saying if we had Rafale, the results would be stronger. First ego politics on Rafale and now politics on it has harmed the nation. Oppose Modi, criticise our policies and government, you are welcome, but don’t oppose the security and well being of the country.” The Congress and its president, Rahul Gandhi has been lying relentlessly in connection with the Rafale deal. The party president Rahul Gandhi has been trying to discover all possible allegations in order to corner the Modi government over the claims of wrongdoing in the Rafale deal. Even though the Supreme Court dismissed all the petitions for a Court-monitored probe into the Rafale deal, the Congress led by its president Rahul Gandhi has not stopped making baseless allegations in connection with the Rafale deal. Had there been Rafale fighter jets with the IAF, results would have been definitely different. IAF is still using archaic and outdated fighter jets. The upgradation of IAF has suffered greatly because of ongoing politics over Rafale. Wing Commander Abhinandan might have not been captured & the MiG-21 Bison crash could have been avoided if IAF had advanced Rafale fighter jets.
