Almost a fortnight after the horrendous attack on the CRPF convoy, the IAF delivered fitting retribution to the same by bombing the terror launchpads of various terrorist organisations including Jaish-e-Mohammed. These terror launchpads were situated at various places in Pakistan, for e.g. Chakoti, Muzaffarabad etc.

However, what hit the terrorists the hardest was the strike executed at Balakot, one of the chief terror breeding centres of Jaish-e-Mohammed. According to various media sources, the total terrorists that have been neutralized range from 250 – 350 approximately.

Now, in a sensational revelation, a student from the madrasa operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot has confirmed the authenticity of the airstrikes. As reported by The Indian Express, the student narrated his ordeal to his family members and mentioned that it was still dark on the morning of February 26 when he and some others who were sleeping in the same room were woken up by a “massive exploding” sound.

They woke up in panic but they heard nothing again and went back to sleep. “Hamein laga hamara veham hoga (it must have been our imagination). Or that perhaps it was an earthquake tremor. Then we heard nothing more and went back to bed.”

However, they were soon woken up by the local soldiers in charge of securing the madrasa premises, who asked them to evacuate the premises. One of the relatives of the student, spoke about the incident as, “Fauji unko kisi aur jagah le gaye (The soldiers took them to another location),” the relative said but did not know where they were evacuated. The students were kept there “for two or three days”.

“He said there were quite a lot of people at the madrasa but not all of them went to the safe house. It was him and some others of the same age group. He does not know what happened to the others or where the explosion took place.”

Of late, the opposition, unable to counter the NDA government on the issue of national security, have now resorted to absurd propaganda. Not only do they refuse to believe that the strikes happened, but they’re also demanding the proof of the same.

When cornered by the masses for politicising the issue, they accused BJP of trying to politicise the valour of the armed forces. Isn’t this the case of the pot calling the kettle black? However, with the confession of the madrasa student coming to light, this should serve as a big blow to such opportunists, who only want to be in power, irrespective of the methods they use.
