Voters will carry out third surgical strike on the opposition: Sushma Swaraj

SUSHMA SWARAJ, AIRSTRIKE, VOTERS

Yesterday, addressing the BJP women workers in Mumbai, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj gave a befitting reply to the critics and skeptics of the Balakot Air strike. Hitting out against those who question the air strike, Swaraj said, “Should we ask questions about whether our jawans counted the bodies (after dropping bombs on terror camps) or return safely after carrying out the air strike?”

Sushma further attacked the opposition, as she added, “The Indian voters will lead the third surgical strike. That strike will be carried out on the intentions of the opposition parties, by giving us the majority in the elections”.

Indicating the fact that the surgical strike will be on the BJP’s election agenda, foreign minister, Sushma Swaraj said that the Saffron party will have two leaflets that will be used for the poll campaigning. While one will have the details of Modi government’s welfare schemes for women, the other will be about logical counter statements regarding the surgical strike.

Sushma Swaraj also appealed to the BJP workers to ask questions from voters whether they (voters) will support parties that side with separatists and questioned the valour of our jawans or with nationalist forces.

Earlier, Minister of State (MoS) External Affairs General VK Singh gave a firm reply to all those seeking proof of the Air Strikes through the ‘mosquito analogy’. In his tweet, General VK Singh stated that there were lots of mosquitoes at 3:30 pm, so I used HIT. Now, should I count the number of mosquitoes killed or sleep comfortably?

General VK Singh went on to add, “Agli baar jab Bharat kuch kare toh mujhe lagta hai ki vipakshi jo ye prashna uthate hain, unko hawai jahaz ke neeche baandh ke le jayein, jab bomb chale toh vahan se dekh lein target, uske baad unko vahin par utar dein, uske baad vo gin le aur wapas aajayein (Whenever, the nation thinks of doing something like this again, the troubled opposition should be tied with jets so that they can see the bombing and later land them at the bombing site to count the dead bodies)”.

Prior to this, when senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal attempted to politicize the air-strike, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Rathore took a dig at him and tweeted, “Kapil Sibal ji: You believe international media over own Intelligence agencies? You seem happy when media quoted by you says “no losses in strike”? And sir, for us you went to London to find evidence against EVMs, will you please also go to Balakot to check?”

All opposition parties, including the Congress, have the freedom of targeting the government on every possible issue under the sun but for reasons best known to them, they want to target the government only on this issue without realising the negative impact it makes on the national interest and the morale of the armed forces. If the opposition doesn’t stop making such irresponsible remarks then it must brace itself for being swept by the BJP when the country goes to polls in the general elections.
