Lights, camera, action! The lead character of the movie has just returned from the US and is on poverty tourism. The goal of the ecosystem is to project the lead character as the next Mother Teresa.

Barely days after assuming charge as the general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has found her ‘Kalavati’, the PR tool that her brother, her father, and her grand-father adroitly exploited. In Priyanka’s case, it’s a differently abled boy- Ashish- who lives in a cluster of slums near the residence of her brother and the Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

According to media reports, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visits Ashish’s family about every two months to ask about his health. The differently abled boy told ANI, “Priyanka asked me, Friend are you fine.” Ashish’s father Subhash Yadav said: “She comes here every two months, spends time with us and asks us about our well-being. I told her that she had promised that she will provide a vehicle however that has not reached us, to which she said that the same will reach in a day or two. She has been helping us in Ashish’s treatment for the last 3-4 years. No leader till date has come here, but her and Rahul ji, they treat us like family.”

Priyanka, Ashish’s sister said, “She came here and inquired about Ashish’s well-being. He gets very happy when he sees Priyanka ji on television and is fond of her.”

Taking care of a family in need is a great gesture, but the thing is, apparently Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been taking care of the family of differently abled boys for the last five years though this news came to light just days after her formalentery into politics and months before the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha elections. If she has been doing all this for four years, then why did this come into light only now? Is it so that journalists affiliated to the Lutyens’ media can project Priyanka Vadra as a great social worker, and flag bearer of humanity?

The gandhi family is in the habit of meeting someone poor or affected in an attempt to highlight their plight and making political capital out of it. They behave as if they are not responsible for the suffering of poor people. The dynasty has only added insult to the injury of the destitute populace by making false promises such as ‘Garibi Hatao’ and exploiting the emotions and sentiments of poor people to win elections, and once the motive is achieved the members of the dynasty conveniently forget about ‘Kalavati’.

The tribals’ of Niamgiri in Odisha who were opposing mining in the area, the farmers who had been displaced during the Mayawati era, so many Dalits and farmers who live in huts. These are some of the people,‘the dynasty’,have apparently cared for and then abandoned as soon as the elections were over. Ashish will also be no exception. The present generation is hard to fool. They understand everything. They know it very well that all this is just a scripted drama and a part of launching Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
