PM Modi has faced relentless verbal attacks and slander at the hands of the liberal brigade ever since he arrived on India’s political scene in a big way. He has been portrayed as a radical and extremist Hindu time and again despite the lack of evidence on that account. The PM, a devout Hindu, has time and again reiterated that his government gives equal respect to all the religions. However, the opposition and the pseudo-seculars has continued peddling falsehoods about PM Modi and has continuously suggested that he is anti-minority.
The Nehruvian leaders have laid down certain precedents for the entire nation which ultimately meant that while a political leader practicing and propagating Hinduism was seen as a threat to the secular fabric of the nation, political leaders appeasing any other religious community were seen as the guardians of secularism in India. Notwithstanding this arbitrary yet long standing narrative, PM Modi has not shied away from remaining true to himself and the entire nation. Prime Minister Modi is a devout Hindu by faith and at the same time respects all other religions.
During the Kumbh this year also, the Indian PM has not tried appeasing his so called liberal critics. He took a holy dip at the Sangam yesterday and also offered obeisance to mother Ganga.

Dressed in an orange kurta, the prime minister also participated in the Ganga and Triveni ‘pujan’ and ‘aarti’ on the banks of the Sangam.
PM Modi therefore destroyed pseudo secularism with this move. While the pseudo seculars spent decades in pushing a narrative that links any manifestation of Hindu spiritualism to extremism and radicalism, PM Modi has been mercilessly destroyed the myths emanating out of relentless propaganda.
Our PM also broke stereotypes during his visit to the Kumbh congregation in Prayagraj. The prime minister washed the feet of sanitation workers and presented them with ‘angvastram’. PM Modi also said that he would keep carrying the memory of washing their feet through his life. Honouring the sanitation workers, PM Modi described them as “real karm yogis”.

The pictures above reaffirm the image of PM Modi as a devout Hindu who does not care much about what his critics and opponents have to say about him. By washing the feet of sanitation workers, he also broke several stereotypes and set an example for society at large. This is a massive gesture aimed at removing the social bias that exists against the sanitation workers and thereby ending the social divisions that have resulted in historical injustice to the deprived classes.
