In a rally at Guntur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the record of the developmental steps taken by Centre for the state of Andhra Pradesh. PM also thanked Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the ‘unique’ welcome, it extended to him.

Prior to PM’s visit in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Naidu said that the BJP destroyed the state and its people by denying assurances given in the AP Reorganization Act, 2014. “After breaking his promise on SCS how can shameless Modi set foot in AP? I think he is coming to see for himself the injustice he has done to this state and its people. Let us all unite and oppose his visit and his betrayal,” Naidu said.

Lashing out against such allegations PM Modi said, “Those who left the people of the country to live in smoke are now spreading the smoke of lies in the country. CM of Andhra Pradesh has also lost his vision of development and has joined them in their competition of abusing Modi”. Condemning the negligence of Andhra CM, Prime Minister went on to add, “CM of Andhra promised to develop the infrastructure of Andhra but took a U-turn. He promised the redevelopment of Amravati but is now engaged in his own development”.

PM Modi also inaugurated the Strategic Petroleum Reserve facility of ONGC and he said, “Amravati in Guntur has been a center of India’s faith and spirituality since ages. Now it is becoming a center of energy of new Andhra Pradesh and new India. The central government has also selected Amravati under HRIDAY scheme, so that the heritage sites here can be conserved and developed”.

Praising the youth of Amravati and Andhra Pradesh, PM said that Amravati is the Oxford of Andhra, where youngsters from different places come to fulfill their dreams. He further encouraged the youth to vote especially the ones who are going to vote for the first time in Lok Sabha elections this year.

PM didn’t stop there in his attack against Naidu and went on to add, “Aap senior hain apne khudh ke sasur ke peeth mein churra bhokne mein. Aap senior hain ek chunaav ke baad dusre chunaav mein haarne mein (You are senior in backstabbing your own father-in-law. You are senior in losing elections after elections).”

Taking a jibe at the state government for not utilizing the funds allocated by the Centre, PM Modi added that Chandrababu Naidu is scared of facing the truth. “N Lokesh’s (N Chandrababu’s son) father has gone astray from his ideological path because he does not wish to face the truth. First truth, fear of loss in elections. Second, to establish his son in politics. Three, create own wealth. Fourth, the one who is talking to you, is your gatekeeper”, added PM.

Chandrababu Naidu seems to have sidelined all ethics and morality that he earlier talked about. Touting his political greed as ‘democratic compulsion’, Naidu formed a temporary alliance, “Mahakutami” to contest the Telangana assembly elections. However, the people of Telangana being aware of the hypocrisy of Naidu totally discarded the ‘Mahakutami’ and now with general elections round the corner; Chandrababu Naidu is set to face the ire of people for not providing them the governance he was elected for.
