After failing at all the malignant attempts to stall the rally of BJP President Amit Shah; Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers unleashed mayhem on BJP supporters who participated in Amit Shah’s rally at Kanthi in the East Midnapore district of West Bengal on Tuesday. It seems that Mamata Banerjee is not one who takes kindly to the failure of her efforts.
According to media reports, a vehicle, carrying BJP supporters to the rally was ransacked and set on fire by alleged TMC workers and a clash between both the parties’ workers erupted afterwards. Sources from both the parties further confirmed that three people were injured in the clashes.
Various leaders of the saffron party condemned this act of the TMC’s. Lashing out against the Mamata’s party, BJP leader Rahul Sinha said, “TMC is afraid of our strength that’s why they committed violence. Unfortunate that everything happened in front of police, attackers didn’t even spare women workers”.
Threatening the state government of consequences, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya took a jibe at Mamata Banerjee while adding, “Hum Mamata Ji ko chetawani dena chahte hain ki iss prakar BJP ka karyakarta na darne wala hai na jhukne wala hai. Ye Mamata Ji ko bahut mehenga padega,ye main kehna chahta hun. (I want to warn the Mamata government. BJP workers will neither be scared nor will bow down. This will cost you heavy Mamata Ji)”.
While TMC refuted the charges of the saffron party and further TMC leader Madan Mitra accused the BJP of hiring bullies to attack its own vehicles (which is nothing but humorous), Mitra further professed the end of the saffron party to the ANI adding, “Beginning of the end of BJP as a whole has already started & it has started from Bengal. BJP has hired some hooligans from Jharkhand. They are doing this because they have no other issue”.
Going one step further, another TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari even accused the BJP of destroying peace in the state. Adhikari alleged that the BJP said, “BJP workers attacked our party offices and this led to retaliation by our workers. If our party office is attacked are we going to offer sweets?”
Looking at the sensitivity of the matter, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh intervened and called West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. In a recent tweet, Office of Home Ministry informed about it adding, “HM spoke to West Bengal CM, Ms Mamata Banerjee and expressed serious concern over reports of large scale violence and arson against people who attended BJP’s political rally in East Midnapore district today. He asked CM that those who indulged in violence should be brought to book”.

Earlier addressing the ‘Ganatrantra Bachao Yatra’ at Contai in East Midnapore district, Shah blatantly attacked the TMC government. He further added that the 2019 general election is all about restoring the democracy again in the state. The rally itself was a massive success on every indicator and that has upset TMC and ‘Didi’. The mindless violence of the TMC goons unleashed against the BJP workers further strengthens this fact.
