Arnab Goswami proves again why he is no friend of the Hindu community

sabarimala, arnab goswami

It is now clear that the campaign of the Communist government in Kerala has succeeded in desecrating the Sabarimala temple. The two women, Bindu and Kanakdurga, were escorted by the Kerala police to the temple gates from their hideout in the Pamba, which serves as a base camp for the devotees. One of the women is an ‘activist’ associated with the Communist Party.

The CM of Kerala has confirmed the desecration, as he gleefully told the reporters, “It is a fact that the women entered the shrine. Police are bound to offer protection to anyone wanting to worship at the shrine.” The temple was briefly shut down for the ritual purification before reopening for devotees. Since this desecration happened almost in secrecy, exact details are still awaited.

To quote Rahul Easwar, journalist cum head of Ayyappa Dharm Sena, ” They might have done that in absolute secrecy. Once we know details, we will take appropriate action.”

While most of the nation is shocked by this brazen contempt for Sanatan Dharma, with barely a few left-liberals supporting this desecration in hushed tones, celebrations have come from a strange but not entirely unexpected corner. The otherwise nationalist Republic TV had no qualms in celebrating this horrendous desecration of the Sabarimala temple:

Though atrocious to say the least, this is not entirely unexpected from Republic TV or their founder, Arnab Goswami. For all his bravado against the left liberals on various issues, including the hounding of The Accidental Prime Minister trailer, Arnab Goswami falls flat when it comes to defending the Sanatan Dharma. Be it Sabarimala desecration, or the vilification of Sanatanis post the Kathua rape case, Arnab has sided more with the ideology he claims to fight against.

We need no rocket science to understand how anti-Sanatani has Arnab Goswami been. From recommending state intervention on the lines of what happened in Sabarimala in the case of Shani Shinganapur to celebrating the verdict of Sabarimala, to even holding media trials in the Kathua case, just the way he did in the cases of Jasleen Kaur and Rohtak sisters, Arnab Goswami had been way more liberal than even the vicious left liberals like Rajdeep Sardesai, Sagarika Chose etc.

Also, in the third tweet, Republic TV proudly glorifies the desecration of the temple as ‘creating history.’ Is this an Olympic sport? Have they won Olympic gold by desecrating a holy pilgrimage? If the two women had done the same to Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, would Republic TV have celebrated in the same way as they are doing so now? We seriously doubt so.

To be honest, the fight to maintain the traditions of Sabarimala has now taken an ugly turn. With the desecration of the temple’s 800-year-old traditions, it is now a matter of how long can this brazen assault on Dharma will go on. In this scenario, the Republic TV’s celebration of the desecration is nothing but axing their own foot, and it shall cost Arnab Goswami dear.
