Arvind Kejriwal’s rather public display of private ‘hobbies’

Cool guy Kejriwal. I really like that man, not as a politician of course but as an entertainer. There’s no point regurgitating the same old nonsense that is mandatorily included in every biographical article about Kejriwal that he was the hope for the tax-ridden-middle-class and a man in whom youth of India saw their hero. He is still a hero for some people most of whom are his own party members. He recently Xi-jinpinged himself to ensure that he stays in the command of the Aam Aadmi party till the end of time. The journey of Kejriwal from being a part-time employee to a part-time activist to a part-time politician to a full-time entertainer has been a long and eventful one. He doesn’t take his role as the CM of Delhi or as an active politician seriously anymore and why should he?

He won a historic election in Delhi and got 3 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab too. Now, most of his MLAs are booked under different charges of the Indian Penal code. The Punjab unit is all but over. His party got thrashed in Punjab and Goa Assembly elections. And every other election his party has contested, they have consistently polled less than NOTA. Not a record any full-time politician will like to include in their CV. Manish Sisodia his man Friday, buddy and soul mate does most of the work as far as the administration of Delhi is considered. Sisodia is now known as some sort of an educationist in Delhi though records and facts seem to be telling a different tale. So, his failure as a politician and Sisodia’s takeover of the administration of Delhi has left Kejriwal with a lot of free time (a mobile phone and free internet). Oh! And Kejriwal is killing it!

Recently he ‘liked’ a tweet, which was promptly noticed by his most ardent fans (BJP supporters) and viral-ized by BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. The liked tweet is actually a borderline-porn clip where an Asian man is seen playing hide and seek with his privates. The man seems to be some sort of a juggler, who quickly places and removes different props on his privates without making it a public spectacle. A very talented man I am sure, though the trick looks a bit dirty. Kejriwal ji liked the very same video tweet.

Liking on Twitter is done mainly for two purposes, firstly as a silent appreciation of the content, in this case, the Asian man playing hide and seek with his privates. And secondly, as a tool to bookmark interesting content. It is not clear at this point why Kejriwal pressed the like button on this video tweet.

People watch all sorts of nasty things on the internet, but they generally do it in private, typically in incognito mode on a web browser. No one shares or retweets or likes nasty videos because these activities tend to leave a digital footprint, but Kejriwal ji is different. He has always been the one to speak his mind and do the unthinkable. For instance, no CM in the history of mankind has broken a PM’s mock locker and recovered documents.

So yes, Cool guy Kejriwal. He didn’t just watch the video of an Asian man playing hide and seek with his privates on twitter, but he liked it too. Legend. True legend!
