Yesterday, on Twitter, a correspondent at Navbharat Times (NBT), Damodar Vyas, attacked the BJP Delhi’s Unit spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. In his tweet, Damodar Vyas alleged Tajinder Bagga of posting an erroneous tweet regarding the catering services of the Indian Railways.

On January 20, BJP spokesperson tweeted a post praising the Railway’s effort of enhancing ‘the catering services on the wheels’. In his tweet, he stated.

Since journalist’s version was different to that of Bagga, tfipost.com decided to cross-check the timing of Bagga’s tweet. Based on the multiple verifications we conducted on several devices which had their time and date set according to Indian Standard Time, we found that Bagga had tweeted the image on the morning of the 20th of January, the same day on which the omelet was supposed to be served according to the mentioning on the box. If the journalist’s Twitter feed showed differently, it is evident that he was either in a different time zone or the date and time settings of his device were set to another time-zone, a time-zone where it was still the 19th of January at the time the journalist thought he was calling out Bagga’s bluff. Pointing at this fact, Bagga too tweeted back as;

Not only that, journalist’s mistake was pointed out by others as well. Singh Varun, in his tweet, posted the screenshot of Tajinder Bagga’s original tweet;

But, Damodar Vyas didn’t turn out to be someone who realizes mistakes easily. He went one step further without realizing his mistake and asked BJP spokesperson to upload the bills of the food to ‘authenticate’ his truth. In another tweet he asked;

After a while, he realized his mistake and went offline but twitteratis were in no mood to spare him. While Singh Varun’s tweet was a straight forward one, another twitterati, Arpan Saxena made fun of the NBT correspondent in his tweet, saying;

Few other folks mocked the NBT, as they wondered how a national media house could hire such a ‘conscious’ employee;

Such elements without any proper information try to raise questions on the functioning of the Indian Railways. Moreover, since coming to power in 2014, the Modi government has taken numerous steps to improve the functioning of the Indian Railways.

In the year 2018 only, the Indian Railways achieved many milestones including Self-propelled trains, First Railway University opened, Diesel locomotive converted into an electric one, Bogibeel Bridge inaugurated and many more.

By making these fake allegations, time and again, the left-liberal media has tried to show the BJP government in bad light. Like all other instances, this time too, the intention to corner the Indian Railways stands well exposed.
