Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani nails Rahul Gandhi’s lies on Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Yesterday, a war of words broke out between AICC President Rahul Gandhi and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, after the former made a snide remark on Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) on Twitter. In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi hit out at PM Modi on the issue of sponsors not willing to participate in the summit.

Quoting an article of ‘The Indian Express’, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “At the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019, cynical sponsors no longer want to associate themselves with an event presided over by NoMo. They have left the stage, the way he likes it… Empty.”

However, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani did not take this blatant lie lightly and promptly rebutted Gandhi scion’s propaganda. Rupani hit back at RaGa, through his tweet, “Such a shameless liar you are Rahul Gandhi. This time Vibrant Gujarat is seeing even more participation. Here are the facts.”

Rupani further accused Rahul Gandhi of painting the state of Gujarat in a bad colour. In another tweet, he said, “The glee in your tweet shows how desperate you are to see Gujarat fail. Gujarati’srecognize your hatred for the state and have continuously rejected the Congress & will keep doing so! #RaGaJhoothKiMachine.”

Earlier, Vijay Rupani gave an exclusive interview to a local media portal DeshGujarat.com. Where he mentioned that in earlier editions, around 10 countries participated in the summit, but this year more than 16 countries are partnering the summit. The 9th VGGS will be held from January 18 to 20, 2019. Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Australia, Morocco, and Sweden are among the countries which will participate in the summit for the first time.

This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party had given heed to fake news. Congress’ IT cell is nothing more than the ocean of fake news. To begin with, during no-confidence motion debate earlier this year, Rahul Gandhi converted Lok Sabha into an entertainment sabha with his gaffes and lies. Firstly, he claimed that PM Modi during the 2014 Lok Sabha election promised to deposit 15 lakh in the accounts of every individual of the country. This claim is absolutely false and bogus. In fact, PM Modi never made any such promises, it is just a myth created by the Lutyens’ cabal to mislead the people of the country.

In September, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made by the BJP government to commemorate the contribution of the legendary leader to the nation was built in China. This absurd lie was immediately debunked by spokespersons of the Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) which had been given the task to construct the statue. The L&T official statement read, “The entire statue itself is being built in India at the site and only the bronze cladding in the form of bronze plates is being sourced from China, which constitutes a negligible amount of less than 9% of the total value of project.”

Not to forget the fact that, Vibrant Gujarat Summit was originally started by the then Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi to attract investors in the state. It has been a phenomenal success in this regard, something the Gandhi scion either does not understand or does not want to acknowledge.
