The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) are organizing a mega event in support of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The RSS has declared that it will organise a ‘Hunkar’ rally in Ayodhya on Sunday, while Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) ‘Dharma Sabha’ is also to be held on the same day. Over one lakh people are expected to attend the Dharma Sabha. The VHP has claimed that event would be the “biggest congregation of saints and supporters of the Ram temple since 1992.”

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will also attend different events in the town. The Shiv Sena has asked the BJP to go for the ordinance route and announce a date for the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. According to police, over 3 lakh people from around the country would gather in Ayodhya on Sunday.

After the delay in Supreme Court’s verdict, the momentum has been gaining traction for an ordinance route to Ram Mandir and this event can be seen as a part of the push towards that. Shiv Sena has claimed that more than 400 Members of Parliament cutting across the party lines will extend their support to the ordinance for the construction of Ram Temple.

The PTI has quoted Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut saying, “The Babri mosque was demolished in 17 minutes…How long does it take to prepare papers… to bring ordinance… from the Rashtrapati Bhawan to Uttar Pradesh assembly…They are all BJP governments.”

According to a Zee News report, nearly 25,000 Shiv Sena workers have reached Ayodhya Junction Railway station on Saturday morning.

On Friday, Shiv Sena said, “Those in power should be proud of Shiv Sainiks who had “destroyed Babur’s raj in Ram Janmabhoomi.”

There are saffron hoardings of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray all over Ayodhya with a message: Pehle mandir, phir sarkar (First the temple, and then government). According to media reports, he will also hand over a silver brick to Saints for the construction of Ram Temple. According to the Republic world report, on November 22, Uddhav Thackeray collected soil from Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, before making way for his visit to Ayodhya. Speaking to media about his Ayodhya visit, the Shiv Sena chief said, “This soil is not just mud but the sentiments of the entire Hindu community and when the sentiments of Hindus unite, definitely the process of constructing the Ram mandir will find speed. And it will be built as soon as possible. Some seers over there are going to give me their blessings, and to seek those blessings I am going over there.”

The Supreme Court hearing on Ram Temple case commenced on 29th October. However, defying the expectations and to certain extent the common sense, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing on Ayodhya case until January 2019. Following the Supreme Court’s order of adjourning the hearing on the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute, chorus for legislative route on the issue is growing with each passing day, and on now what is considered as ‘Super Sunday’, it will be on its zenith. Gathering of over 3 lakh people is an indication of something big to happen. It seems that ordinance is the only way towards construction of Ram temple and the government must act before it’s too late.
