Rajdeep Sardesai finds no taker for his biased election coverage

Rajdeep Sardesai, elections

PC: Postcard News

As the election season is in full swing, the agenda-driven journalist Rajdeep Sardesai is out again on the streets only to get disappointed by the voters. It is no secret that Rajdeep Sardesai with his acts has earned the image of a pro-Congress journalist but it seems that his leaning is not even hidden from the eyes of common voters.

Ahead of Madhya Pradesh elections, a video has surfaced in which Rajdeep Sardesai can be seen inquiring the businessmen of the Indore about their choice in the upcoming state assembly polls. To his utter disappointment, businessmen told him that they are going to vote for the BJP, some of them also said that GST and Demonetization are non-issues to them. One businessman went to the extent of saying that his business is not going well at the moment but still will cast his vote in the favor of the BJP. To which Rajdeep responded, “Business down hai lekin vote BJP ko.”

In another incident from Indore, Rajdeep Sardesai arranged a showdown between a common man and a senior journalist who is known for his anti-BJP leaning. In a 1.24 minute long video clip, the senior journalist Sakul Garg appears critical of BJP’s electoral prospect and predicts that Congress is going to assume power this time because people seek change in the state. On the other hand, the local common man of Indore said that people don’t want any change and BJP is set to win again and retain power. He further said that people have witnessed change under the BJP government. He also appreciated the works done under Shivraj Singh for the development of Madhya Pradesh. It very well corroborates the fact that journalists are far from reality.

It also goes on to negate the Media’s claim about a public anger existing against the BJP. On ground, there is anti-incumbency against the BJP but still it has an edge over the Congress and thus has the advantage.

Here in the following video, Rajdeep Sardesai failed to find a Congress supporter in the Indore crowd. Rajdeep asked voters, “Congress or BJP?” “BJP”, replied the crowd. After their response Rajdeep said, “Congress-BJP choaro, aaj Khaane pe focus karo.” (Leave Congress-BJP, and focus on food today).

These videos prove the fact that the commoners of Madhya Pradesh are happy with Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s work and want to elect him again.

Rajdeep faced embarrassment in Mandsaur as well, a region which has been in news in recent times for all the wrong reasons. Rajdeep asked a villager, “Did You get any compensation for Mandsaur firing?” The victim’s father said, “NO.” After which other villagers who were part of the virtual panchayat shouted in unison that the victim’s father is lying as the state government has given him a compensation of one crore. Rajdeep ran away after he sensed the interview not going his way-

During Karnataka elections also, people enthusiastically had welcomed Rajdeep Sardesai by chanting “Modi, Modi.”

In this video during Karnataka elections, almost everyone in the restaurant answered that BJP will win the Karnataka elections which the party actually did but failed to come to power due to an unholy post-poll alliance of JD(S) and the Congress.

Lutyens’ media has been trying to build an anti-Modi narrative since the advent of Modi government at the centre and has been spreading the message that there is huge anger against PM Modi in the nation. Their bias is clearly visible in their reporting. There is always a huge dissonance between what they report and the ground reality. However, people never fail to educate Lutyens’ media about the ground reality with their mandate just like the have been doing in Rajdeep Sardesai’s case.
