It seems that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi party chief Arvind Kejriwal isn’t having the best of days or rather he is becoming a target of people suffering under his leadership in Delhi. Once again he has been attacked, and this time with Chilli Powder. The incident happened at Delhi Secretariat where he was attacked with chilli powder and if reports are to be believed, some of it has gotten in his eyes too. Reportedly, Kejriwal’s specs were also broken during the brawl. The security personnel present there arrested the person who threw the chilli powder.

The person has been identified as Anil Sharma and is a resident of Delhi. As usual Aam Aadmi Party, has alleged Bhartiya Janta Party for this attack. According to the report of Aaj Tak, an anonymous person in Chief Minister’s chamber at the secretariat threw chilli powder on Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal was there to take part in a meeting and was going towards his chamber. Anil (the culprit) was standing just outside the chamber and as soon as Kejriwal reached near his chamber he threw a match-box filled with chilli powder.
The question here is how can there be such a big loop hole in Chief Minister’s security? How did an unknown man reach the CM of Delhi by taking a match box filled with chillies? In the Secretariat there are strict provisions for safeguarding the CM. Then, how did an unknown person managed to get pass the security? Is there some other dimension in this attack? And if it is not so, Kejriwal is actually facing the anger of the people he has deceived.

This isn’t the first time when Delhi Chief Minister had to face public outrage; earlier too he has been victim of such incidents. In 2016, ink was thrown at him while he was on a visit to Rajasthan’s Bikaner.

In the same year, a woman had thrown ink on Kejriwal while he was delivering a speech on the ‘success’ of Odd-Even rule at Chhatrasal stadium in New Delhi and accused him of CNG scam. Prior to this during his 2014 election campaign at Sultanpuri, an auto-driver had slapped him.
There are many other cases where Kejriwal had to face public outburst. Said to be working on the lines of welfare of common masses, the people of Delhi doesn’t seem to be happy from his reign.  AAP came to power riding on their agitation against corruption but now his opposition has reached the secretariat. It is clear from the point that Arvind Kejriwal, who is dreaming to strengthen his party’s hold in other states and not just in Delhi, is facing an uphill task for his party in the upcoming elections. However, this truth has always been disregarded by Kejriwal and his party, so probably nothing will change now.
