This is why Pak apologist, Aman ki Asha brigade needs to stop

Pakistan, Aman ki Asha

26 November 2018 was the 10th anniversary of the devastating terror attacks that had rocked the city of Mumbai. The attacks were a living example of our monumental failure at handling such a sensitive issue, and also brutally exposed how our ‘secular’ politicians would happily throw Indian citizens under the bus, all to appease the minority community.

Into this scenario, a recent development not only caught the attention of the media, but also enraged the masses in India. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, Pakistan officially celebrated the attacks of 26/11, with the brother in law of Hafeez Saeed, Abdul Rehman Makki terming the attacks as ‘a conspiracy to defame us.’

If this wasn’t enough, according to the reports, of Pakistan’s Punjab province government, state Minister Fayaz ul Hasan Chauhan also shared the stage with the dreaded terrorist and officially backed the Lashkar-e-Taiba against India. To quote his atrocious address, ‘Ajmal Kasab was not a Pakistani. Hafiz Saeed was not responsible for the attack and 26/11 was an Indian conspiracy. Kasab was in fact an Indian citizen, he belonged to Uttar Pradesh.’

These atrocious statements came just after the Pakistani government allegedly sent an invitation to the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, as well as the CM of Punjab, Captain [retd.] Amarinder Singh, for the ground breaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor at the Pakistani side of the International border.

Doesn’t this ring a bell ? It would, since this shameless endorsement of 26/11 by Pakistan also questions the hypocrisy of our very own Aman ki Asha brigade, who wants us to practice the absurd concept of ‘forgive and forget’. They label anyone who is against such misplaced idealism as a ‘war monger’, and are themselves extremely intolerant towards any kind of dissent against them, despite labeling themselves as ‘messengers of peace’. Need we remind you of the actions of Navjot Singh Sidhu?

When some left liberals like Seemi Pasha and Rupa Subramanya, who were stung by Sushma Swaraj’s schooling of Nidhi Razdan, trying to justify her stance on the Kartarpur issue, they had indulged in the cryptic whataboutery, accusing the NDA government of being a hypocrite in terms of hounding Navjot Singh Sidhu for his actions in Pakistan.

However, on the occasion of 26/11, despite their favorite nation mouthing hatred against India and officially endorsing the 26/11, our ‘Aman ki Asha’ activists were found posting the following :

Going by the tweet, it looks like Nidhi Razdan hasn’t learnt anything from her schooling by Sushma Swaraj. Not only did she try to endorse in a cryptic way the statement of P Chidambaram, which doubted the capability of the Indian armed forces, she also defended Congress, asking BJP not to politicize the same. No wonder one wise man rightly said, ‘The one thing that hypocrites get offended by is the truth.’

In such a blatant defense of Pakistan, how could our beloved Gurmehar Kaur stayed behind? The very first tweet that she posted reeked of shameless whataboutery, despite the fact that neither Sushma Swaraj nor Amarinder Singh accepted the invitation, as noted below :

This was retweeted by Gurmehar Kaur.

To be honest, in the current situation, it would be a fool’s errand to extend the hands of friendship once again with those, for whom backstabbing is a daily chore. Also, it is rather time that we stop endorsing and glorifying the ‘Aman ki Asha’ brigade, they are nothing but Pak apologists, who want to call for peace, even at the cost of the corpses of our beloved soldiers. Enough is enough!
