After the charges of sexually harassing girls online has caused troubles, AIB fame Utsav Chakraborty has appeared in an interview with Zoom. In the interview Utsav has come out to blame everything and everyone for his conduct. He also said that whatever transpired between him and Mahima was a case of ‘genuine misunderstanding’. He also tried to downplay his acts of online sexual harassment by saying that whatever things happened were the result of his ‘upfront’, ‘online behavior’. Basically Utsav is trying to say that an online abuse is not an abuse. His online behavior excuse is nothing but an absurd justification of his cheap, uncivilized and unacceptable acts.

He tried to play the victim card by citing the excuse of his disease for which he needs injections every week. Utsav surprisingly was not willing to apologize for his past sins, citing “would it make any difference?” Utsav was angrily defending himself rather than accepting his mistakes, which is strange for a man who has been accused by so many females for his misconduct.

Not satisfied with just playing the victim card, Utsav also ended up blaming right-winger groups for supporting the girl for her courage. He said that right-winger twitter accounts ‘blowed it out of proportion’. A classical case of refuge, where in the criminal wants the crime to be considered a normal practice. He basically implies that if the right-winger groups hadn’t supported the girl then the liberal-leftist cabal would have successfully brushed aside the matter under the carpet. One shouldn’t be surprised if the liberal cabal ends up blaming PM Modi for this #metoo moment of India, in which the secrets of self declared liberal, progressive and outwardly feminist people are getting exposed . By blaming right-wingers, Utsav is trying to justify acts of molesters just like the Red army justified rape since they were ‘fighting fascism’. It was also a pathetic attempt at changing the narrative of the whole outburst, pinning the blame on right-wingers groups would have made it a left vs right debate rather than a offender vs victim debate which it is in reality.

In the entire interview Utsav hardly ever sounds apologetic. He continuously blames others and makes lame excuses by providing long nonsensical explanations in order to justify his behavior. No explanations are enough to justify his perverted actions, but he tries really hard to pass them off. If Mahima Kukreja wouldn’t have gathered the courage to come forward and expose him on social media then he would have continued with his perverted acts without any second thoughts. His dramatic lines which beg for forgiveness on Twitter are just a pretense for hiding his nefarious activities and nothing more. Utsav is doing all this because he now stands exposed and he is left with no other option. If he is really was apologetic sorry then he would have visited the nearest police station to confess his crime, and possibly also could have helped expose other members of his industry who have committed such acts against women on social media or at workplace. There are many more predators like Utsav who freely masquerade as liberals, outwardly feminists and progressive elements of the society.

Now, it would be interesting to see whether the left-liberal cabal which refrained from directly targeting and condemning the uncivilized and nauseating behavior of Utsav would lap up this excuse. The cabal blamed all men, patriarchy, society and everything under the sun other than the accused to keep their predatory shops up and running. They are not at all concerned with ensuring justice to the victims. For the left-liberal cabal feminism is simply a tool to put a spotlight to uplift their careers and nothing more. The lame excuses offered by the cabal to justify the behavior of one of their coterie reveals the concern they have for women. The following tweets are enough to expose the double standard of the so called champions of gender rights.
