Manikarnika teasers liberals kangana

On the occasion of Gandhi/Shastri Jayanti, actress Kangana Ranaut launched the much awaited teaser of her upcoming movie, ‘Manikarnika’. Narrated in the powerful voice of famous actor Amitabh Bachchan, and directed by famous Telugu director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, aka ‘Krish’, the teaser opened to an overwhelming response over social media, with 11 million views and counting apart from 300000+ likes on YouTube alone.

However, not everyone was gung ho on the release of the movie’s teaser. The so called intellectual brigade, already fuming with the growing popularity of the ‘Uri’ teaser despite their vicious criticism, now pounced upon Manikarnika teaser. From Youtube comments itself, it was evident that the criticism was less about the aspects of the movie and more about Kangana Ranaut, who is not kowtowing to the dictums of the elite Bollywood.

One such article, as published on the sister concern of the Indian Express, i.e. the web portal, InUth, exposes the deep and vicious contempt these left liberals have for movies like ‘Manikarnika’. Written by one Siddhant Pandey, this article criticizes the teaser on absurd grounds, that reeks more of contempt towards Kangana Ranaut than a genuine criticism of the subject.

The very opening lines of this article reflect the hatred that the writer has for Kangana Ranaut, just because she happened to had a conversation with spiritual environmentalist Sadhguru, who is not the man such ‘liberals’ would look forward to meeting to.

Moving further, he mocks the makers for installing ‘cheap versions’ of the apparently opulent sets of ‘Padmaavat’. In one scene, where Kangana’s character apparently trains her women cadets in the art of shooting ‘fire arrows’, the author mocks her with the following comments:-

The author ended his article with another crude attempt to take a dig at Kangana’s efforts in ‘Manikarnika’:-

To be honest, while Manikarnika’s teaser might have a few glitches, they’re not that bad that it deserves such shameful roasting, as done by the In Uth author. In fact, In Uth should be the last site to criticize a movie for VFX, if they can shamelessly promote the overrated trailer of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, whose shoddy VFX would make even a Nursery class painting look like a masterpiece.

Ironically, these are the same liberals, who wouldn’t feel any shame in promoting pathetic movies like ‘Veere Di Wedding’, ‘Mulk’ etc., while roasting the likes of ‘Parmanu’, ‘Raazi’, even ‘Gold’ for that matter, just because they don’t subscribe to the ‘liberal’ narrative. The tone of the In Uth critical has made it crystal clear that nothing in Bollywood with a nationalist tone would be tolerated, and they shall use every trick at hand in order to prevent such creations from being released on silver screen. If only their efforts were as successful.

Following the massive rejection of their vicious articles on ‘Uri’, the liberals now attempted to impose their thoughts on the audience with respect to ‘Manikarnika’. However, if we have anything to go by the response on YouTube alone, they’ve received a thumbs down, and we can be probably be ready for an epic clash in the month of January. We hope that ‘Manikarnika’ succeeds in giving a fitting tribute to the legendary queen of Jhansi, and a nice burn to the left liberals.
