Urban Naxals, in co-ordination with ISI, are plotting to influence 2019 General elections

The 2019 general elections are around the corner. All the political parties have started their preparations and security agencies are also very alert. Security is a paramount aspect for the free, fair and safe conduct of elections. Time and again anti-social and anti-India elements have tried to disrupt the celebration of the largest democratic event of the largest democratic country of the world but because of the efforts of security agencies, they have never succeeded in their efforts. Ahead of 2019 general elections, the Intelligence Bureau has warned of both internal and external interference in the election process. The IB has also warned about the possibility of ISI and Naxals/Urban Naxals carrying out violence in certain areas ahead of the polls.

ISI and Naxals/Urban Naxals are the two biggest security threats to the nation. While the influence of Naxals has been deteriorating but still they could meddle in elections in some areas. The Urban Naxals, on the other hand, would build propaganda against the incumbent government at the Centre.

The security agencies have said that the process of building a narrative against the ruling dispensation is in full gear and in the days to come they would work in tandem with outsiders and escalate tensions and violence. According to them, ISI would try its level best to create disturb the electoral process. The ISI is already working in the direction to disrupt the local body polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to One India report, ISI has already employed elements to disrupt the electoral process. Examples of this can be seen in the rise in demand for Khalistan which is ISI sponsored movement. It is aimed at destabilizing the country. The ISI could also exploit the NRC issue and ignite violence in North Eastern states. The security agencies have made apprehensions about trouble in parts of states such as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and West Bengal.

ISI is waging a digital war against India. Its citizens are creating fake accounts on social media and are indulged in spreading fake news and venomous content which could trigger caste violence and communal violence in India. ISI is also funding anti-nationals in India and it has also activated its sleeper cells. In the days to come, India could witness huge protests and tensions between communities. Fake twitter handles created by Pakistani citizens would add fuel to the fire. Indian journalists on Pakistan’s payroll would also write propaganda materials discrediting the works of government and fuelling caste and communal violence. All the Breaking-India forces would increase their activities. Most serious threats are urban naxals. These people would go to any extent to spread their venomous propaganda. Such people have occupied the influential posts in academia, film industry and media. They are heavily funded from the outside and are extremely dangerous.

Urban Naxals were even planning to assassinate PM Modi. In connection with the plot to assassinate PM Modi, special teams of police are carrying out raids in various parts of the country. Police conducted a raid at the residence of Maoist ideologue writer, Varavara Rao in Hyderabad. Police also raided a journalist’s home at Nagole. According to One India report, Rao is connected to the conspiracy. A case against him had previously been registered in Pune. The police also raided the house of his daughter. House of many other journalists and professors were also raided. Police are cracking down heavily upon the network of Urban Naxals. Synchronized raids were carried out in eight different locations by police from different states. The deeds of Urban Naxals and their outsider supporters are in the open now. They could no longer afford the luxury of enjoying a luxurious and peaceful life even after committing a crime against the nation. The government has already shown the resolve to deal with the menace of Naxalism and Urban Naxals and over the period of time, it has only intensified its fight against them.
