Tripura CM Biplab Deb is again under attack by the semi-educated liberal-leftists. Leftists, whose ideology goes against all the rules of science and common sense, are also giving science lesson to Biplab Deb. He was addressing an inaugural event of a traditional boat race at Rudrasagar, an artificial lake around water palace Neermahal where he made the following statement: “I announce that 50,000 ducks will be distributed among the locals of this area. Imagine how beautiful it would be if these 50,000 ducks swim in this waterbody (Rudrasagar lake surrounding the Neermahal palace in Sipahijala district, Tripura). Their swimming will recycle oxygen in the water. This will create more fish feed. Pisciculture will get a boost. To make this place more attractive to tourists, we’ll also have to beautify the neighborhood.”

Immediately after his statement, self-proclaimed expert of each and everything under the sun started trolling Biplab Deb. These experts who are affiliated to liberal-leftist cabal strongly believe that Biplab Deb’s statement is unscientific and stupid at all levels. However, real experts in the field claim that statement of CM of Tripura is scientifically correct.

Rameshwar Das, the Principal Secretary of Tripura’s Fisheries Department has supported Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s statements. He told ANI, “The practice of introducing something else with fish is known as Integrated Fish Farming. It is used in animal husbandry, agriculture, etc. There are several benefits of introducing ducks with fish. Firstly their droppings increase the fertility and helps raise the level of plankton in the water, which the fish consume, hence helping them grow.”

Das further explained, “Fish require dissolved oxygen. The surface area of the water body is directly proportional to the dissolved oxygen, and to increase the surface area, there needs to be a disturbance on the surface, it cannot be still. So, when ducks swim on water, they act as natural aerators, and with ducks not there, we have to artificially aerate the waters.”

Debbarma, Scientist at Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education also backed Biplab Deb’s statement. He was quoted by ANI saying, “Duck-fish farming is integrated farming. Ducks’s excreta helps growth of fish. They are natural aerators and help in increasing [the] oxygen level [of water bodies]. This has been proved through studies.”

Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGAU), Raipur conducted a research titled “Role of duck droppings on pond productivity through fish-duck integrated farming system”.  The research concluded that “the integrated fish cum duck farming gives better returns in terms of pond productivity, fish growth, survival and profit as compared to fish farming alone.”

Meanwhile, OSD to Tripura CM, Sanjay Mishra said that the opposition has been targeting the CM only to malign him. He also quoted the research of IGAU to back the CM’s statement. He said, “The study states that when ducks swim, atmospheric phosphate and other minerals are created which helps in the growth of green algae, the primary source of generation of oxygen in the water.” Sanjay Mishra further added, “Ducks are considered useful for that purpose since ancient time. There are scientific evidences of the same. There is an organisation the professor of which did research which states ducks aerate when they swim which cleans the water surface. They are biological aerators.”
So, science, scientist and research proves that Biplab Deb’s statement is scientifically correct and now very soon left-liberal cabal would come up with their write-ups discrediting the research and declaring scientists backing CM’s statement as failed and illiterate.
