The illustrative list of Congress’ top leaders who are out on bail seems to be growing day by day

congress, bail, leaders

The main opposition party of India, Congress is increasingly becoming irrelevant in India. Congress President Rahul Gandhi is making matters worse by spreading fake news regularly, contributing to the further debacle of the Congress. There is hardly any credibility of the Congress party among the people. Nothing more can be expected from a party whose entire top leadership is out on bail for some reason or the other. Congress is not taken seriously by the people because they do not see Congress as a credible alternative anymore. The media tried to make a martyr of the Congress leaders who are out on bail but social media thwarted Lutyens’ media’s nefarious agenda.

The list of the Congress leaders who are out on bail is very long. First two names name in the list are of the mother and son duo at the helm of the party, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, one being the former president, current chairperson of the UPA and the senior-most leader of the party and the other being the incumbent president. The mother-son duo is out on bail in the National Herald case.  In the National Herald scam, the Congress top brass, especially Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, are believed to have minted millions from an ailing news agency called National Herald. National Herald had become defunct by 2008. According to the court proceedings, the accused are allegedly charged with the following provisions:

National Herald scam case against Gandhis has been fast-tracked and has to be completed within a year which means the verdict will be out before 2019 general elections. The man who dragged the Gandhis to the court in National Herald case is none other than Subramanian Swamy.

Next name in the list is of P. Chidambaram who, along with his son, is also out on bail.  Things haven’t exactly been smooth for ex-Home and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram since the Congress’ loss in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.  P. Chidambram and his family are facing probes in many corruption cases such as Aircel-Maxis scam, INX media scam and the AirAsia scam. Chidambaram’s name cropped up in all these scame in some way or the other. In a major development in INX media case, the CBI on Tuesday pressed for custodial interrogation of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. T

he next name is darling of the english speaking Lutyens’ elite circle, Shashi Tharoor. He is a writer and was a senior UN functionary before entering into Indian politics. In popular imagination, he is the party’s intellectual backbone. Recently, Delhi court granted Shashi Tharoor anticipatory bail in Sunanda Pushkar murder case. Delhi police charge sheeted Shashi Tharoor under Section 498A and Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. He has been accused of subjecting his wife, Sunanda Pushkar to cruelty and abetment to suicide.

Again, it is Subramanian Swamy who has been vocal for ensuring justice to the departed soul of Sunanda Pushkar.

Other important leaders of Congress party who are out on bail include the name of Sam Pitroda, Oscar Fernandes and Motilala Vohra.

No one is taking them seriously anymore because they are a party-out-on-bail. Their future is gloomy. Their entire top leadership is out on bail on some charge or the other. Their top leaders hardly have any credibility and that’s why the party is also losing its credibility and increasingly becoming irrelevant in Indian politics.
