Former SFI leader and anchor of the Malayalam comedy show “Tharikkida”, Sabumon Abdusamad, has been reported to have made an extremely derogatory remark about a female BJP leader, Lasitha Palakkal on social media. The comedian who is commonly called the ‘Red-Jihadi’ on social media is alleged to have openly asked married BJP Mahila Morcha leader, Lasitha Palakkal to be his fourth wife. Not only this, he passed sexually coloured remarks on the BJP leader and also wrote that “Lasi you are mine and mine only. Even if all Sanghis reject, I want you.” He is also alleged to have used highly derogatory, indecent and vulgar language in his social media post.

This does not come as a surprise because the communist government in Kerala has been known to have allowed misogynist elements to operate with impunity. Recently, the CPM workers abused Ashwathy Jwala, a social worker, in an organised way. She had been trolled and abused merely for criticising Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. In fact, social media in Kerala has been abuzz with the contradictory actions of the ruling communist front of claiming that women in the state feel safe under the communist government and at the same time giving support to rapists and allowing cyber-bullying of women activists.

The Indian Express has confirmed that a complaint has been made against Sabumon Abdusamad. He has been booked under various sections of the IPC for derogatory remarks against the woman BJP leader.  Lasitha Palakkal has accused Abdusamad of making sexually inappropriate remarks in her complaint. The News Minute reported that “Sabu has been booked under sections 354 (A) of IPC and 120 of Kerala Police Act (KP). He has, however, not been charged under relevant sections of the IT Act.” The police have stated that it is still in the process of verifying whether the Facebook page from which the derogatory comments against Lasitha were made belongs to Abdusamad. Meanwhile, it has come to light that the accused comedian is currently a contestant in the first season of TV show “Big Boss Malayalam.”  As part of the rules of the reality show, he will remain confined in the Big Boss house located in Mumbai’s film city for hundred days or until he gets voted out, whichever is earlier. Lasitha, infuriated by the snail’s pace at which the enforcement authorities are moving, demanded the arrest of Sabu (as Abdusamad is popularly known) and took to Facebook stating that, “the government claims Sabumon Abdusamad is absconding. But, he is on Asianet’s show Big Boss.” She also raised a pertinent question that whether the government will proceed against the owner of the channel for hiding an accused.

The sexually coloured remarks, which though not verified, still describe how the communists go personal, fuelled by ideological hatred. Such is the effect of leftist indoctrination that its extremist supporters and activists lose senses and do not spare the dignity and honour of a woman if she happens not to agree with their ideology. This also shows that under the communist rule, the extremist elements feel that they can easily get away with crass, cheap, vulgar and misogynist comments. This is why they shamelessly and routinely resort to such remarks in order to bog down women who do not happen to agree with their ideology. The fact remains that while the popular communist leaders masquerade as “women rights” activists, they allow elements like Sabumon to operate with impunity at the ground level and violate women rights, day in and day out.
