Congress worker inspired by PM Modi now runs Pakoda stand, proves Rahul Gandhi wrong

Congress President Rahul Gandhi often contradicts himself on numerous occasions. He pokes fun at someone, forgets all about it and then cites the same joke as an inspiration in subsequent gatherings. His foot in mouth moments are numerous and would require a complete book along the lines of noted author Khushwant Singh’s Jokebooks with copious volumes. “Rahulnama” might be a dream today but the Congress President’s shortcomings keep popping up every now and then. Rahul Gandhi once made fun of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saying that even a pakoda seller is an honest enterprise for a hardworking guy. He blamed PM Modi and BJP for not providing enough opportunities for the youth of the country. A few months later he himself was caught speaking of how a shikanji (lemonade) seller became the founder of a multi-million dollar soft drink company (pepsi), and how a dhaba owner started another chain of restaurants around the globe. Rahul was factually incorrect but he still managed to contradict himself in these speeches.

It was however one of Rahul Gandhi’s own followers from PM Modi’s home state of Gujarat who proved him wrong. Narayanbhai Rajput, a National Students Union of India (NSUI) member, active Congress worker and a hardcore self-confessed Congress supporter took the statements of PM Modi to heart. Mr. Narayanbhai is a post-graduate in Hindi Literature himself, but he followed the advice and started a ‘pakoda’ stall with a meagre investment. In his own words, “Upon Prime Minister’s advice that selling pakoda is also an employment, I thought of giving it a try. I started with one pakoda stall with only 10 kg of material. Now, I sell pakodas of around 500 to 600 kg of material.”

Narayanbhai was inspired by PM Modi who said that earning Rs 200 per day by selling pakodas was way better than staying unemployed. Congress supporter Narayanbhai further explained that he took PM Modi’s advice so seriously since “He is prime minister of the country that include me and Rahul Gandhi (the Congress president) as well“. He however clarified that, “I am a die-hard Congressman and will remain the same in my next birth too”.

Narayanbhai Rajput today owns 35 franchises of Shriram Dalwada Centre today. His roaring success might be tough for the Congress President Rahul Gandhi to comprehend. Not just the Congress, but the entire cabal of left-wing media and parties would never have dreamt of a success story coming from India and that too from a Congress supporter. They would have rather liked the whole country to shout for jobs and create further unrest in the country rather than getting employed and earning honest income. The occurrence of this in Gujarat and by a hardcore Congress supporter will add salt to the wounds of the Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and company. A perfect example of poetic justice for the Congress President.
