In Karnataka Congress minister Zameer Ahmed Khan wants to get noticed and for this, he has come up with a unique idea. He strongly believes if he gets a brand new fortuner instead of small size and low height Innova then he will get ample amount of attention. According to Times Now news report, Zameer Ahmed Khan said, “I am visible to people only if I travel in a government car. For this reason, I have asked for the Fortuner.” Earlier he said, “I am used to travelling in big cars. Since Toyota Innova is small, I have asked for the Fortuner used by Mr Siddaramaiah as CM since it is in a very good condition. I am optimistic of getting it. This is not because I believe it will bring good or bad luck. Power is not permanent, everything cannot be kept lifelong”. Lame excuses made by the Congress minister shows the extent to which power and entitlement can get in someone’s head. He wants a bigger and better car just to get noticed. People elect these representatives to work for them but instead of serving the people these so-called representatives do all other unproductive things. Most of the people become politician not to serve the people but to get the VVIP treatment and entitlements. These people enter into politics only to enjoy the luxury and attention. It seems they become ministers not to serve the country but to get ‘noticed’.

Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy should immediately take cognizance of the matter and should give him a bulldozer, a road roller, a JCB machine, a double-decker bus, a giraffe, a camel or may be an elephant so that he can attract the attention of the people whenever he moves around.
Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy, after looking at the state’s condition, declared some austerity measures when he took over the Chief Ministership. Now, the ministers are not getting big luxurious fancy cars and many other allowances which come with every new government. CM Kumaraswamy himself uses his private customized Range Rover of Rs 1.5 crore, it is his personal vehicle and not government’s. He is not wasting taxpayers money on his personal luxuries.
The Congress President Rahul Gandhi must look at his minister’s priorities and feel ashamed of himself that he gave tickets to such people who want to waste taxpayers money to fulfil their personal ambitions. What kind of bourgeoisie mentality people are promoted to cabinet ministerial ranks? They should be ashamed of their choices. Zameer Khan wanted to get noticed, and now that he got the attention of the whole country after such a ridiculous comment, we hope he must have achieved what he wanted . Instead of keeping such politicians, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi should replace these ministers with credible and productive ministers who serves the people.
