After the end of IPL season eleven, the Congress party leaders have taken the responsibility on their shoulders to entertain the country. Yesterday, Madhya Pradesh Congress unit approached to Election Commission for a hilarious reason. Madhya Pradesh Congress unit has claimed that they have provided evidence to the Election Commission that there are 60 lakh fake voters in the state’s voting list. They also alleged that this is the misuse of administrative proceedings. The reason given by Jyotiraditya Scindia for coming up with this figure is profoundly asinine. Jyotiraditya Scindia asks how the number of voters in the state increased by 40% if the population has increased only by 24% in the last decade. Jyotiraditya Scindia studied at Stanford Business School. His level of common sense is startling. Is he taking after his leader, or does he consider the people of Madhya Pradesh as fools? Or he does not know even basic Maths? Increase of population in the last one decade has added more people in the 0-10 age bracket. This is separate from the 18 and above age bracket, the active voter category. If 40% increase has happened to the voters’ list, it has happened due to people who were born at least 18 years ago. Unregistered people also might have been added. These tactics show that his party is on a sticky wicket, and desperately looking for excuses.

Scindia is not the only one. There are many other Maths prodigies in the Congress party who never failed to surprise us with their Ramanujan level of Maths knowledge.  Lack of common sense among Congress party member is appalling. It appears, Congress is to common sense what Salman Khan is to safe driving.

Their Chairperson Rahul Gandhi is already world acclaimed for his common sense. His intellectually rich statements attract ‘laurels’ and laughter. Some of his evergreen quotable quips are:

‘Politics is everywhere.. it is in your shirt.. in your pants.. everywhere.’

‘Dalit community needs the escape velocity of Jupiter to achieve success.’

‘Gujarat is bigger than the United Kingdom. In fact, India is you know, bigger than Europe and the United States put together.’

‘Poverty is just a state of mind. It does not mean scarcity of food, money or material things. If one possesses self-confidence then we can overcome poverty.’

‘It (Congress) is a funny party. It is the largest political organization in the world but perhaps does not have a single rule or regulation. We create new rules every two minutes and then dump them. Nobody knows the rules in the party.’

‘If India is a computer, Congress is its default program.’

‘See, there is a tendency to look at India as a country.’

And the most hilarious and the best one…

“I have been told that the Congress party is about 100 years old. But when I came across a portrait of Shiva, Guru Nanak Dev ji and other major religions in the world, I found the Congress symbol — that of the hand — in every picture (sic).”

Everyone is waiting for Rahul Gandhi to begin his campaign for Madhya Pradesh election. Whenever he speaks people get many jokes and meme materials. He turned into laughing stock when he threw an open challenge to PM Modi during Karnataka election campaign. We should be wishing, and waiting, for many more such gems from the torch-bearer of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. Meanwhile, his friend and party comrade, Jyotiraditya Scindia, is proving to be a worthy substitute in terms of unintended hilarity.
