Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has started one more political gimmick. On Monday while addressing Delhi Assembly on the motion of full statehood, Kejriwal said, “I want to tell BJP that if before 2019 Elections, Delhi is granted statehood, we’ll make sure that each and every vote from Delhi goes in your favour, we’ll campaign for you. If you don’t do so, Delhi residents will put up boards saying BJP leave Delhi”. He also said when it comes to exploitation, L-G’s rule in Delhi is worse than the Britishers. Arvind Kejriwal made another bizarre statement. He said, “After 1947, the entire country got freedom, but people of Delhi continue to be second-class citizens. Delhiites are half-citizens.” He continued like a cheap revolutionary and made independence slogan for Delhi. Kejriwal further said, “Between 2013 and 2016 came Maharaja Najeeb Jung. Now we have Maharaja Anil Baijal. Today, the most important question confronting Delhi is whether the L-G has the last word or the people. The time has come for people of Delhi to fight for their independence.” This is just a classic Arvind Kejriwal move, right before the elections he started his melodrama again.
Kejriwal, as usual trying to convert an apolitical issue into a political issue just to get some media attention. Full statehood to Delhi is not going to benefit the people of Delhi in any way. It will give more power in the hands of power lusty . He wants to hide his record of poor governance behind the veil of demand of full statehood to Delhi. He doesn’t want to work and always looks for a reason to not work. It is said that he is a Complaint Minister and not a Chief Minister. He was elected as the CM of the union territory but now he wants more power in his hands for his political whims and fancies. Former Delhi CM, Sheila Dikshit also said, “This can’t be excuse to not work. Public wants governance not complaints.”
Delhi is a Union territory, governed partly by Centre, we have to cooperate and work. In my 15 years in power, we never had any conflict with Centre or LG. This can't be excuse to not work. Public wants governance not complaints: Sheila Dikshit, former Delhi CM pic.twitter.com/EwO9OrHxmk

After the Congress party declined the offer of coalition with AAP this is another desperate attempt of Kejriwal for his political survival. He is losing his relevance fast. Now Kejriwal’s life has come to a full circle. He built the foundation of AAP by carrying huge protests against the mega scams like 2G and CWG but recently he desperately wanted to form an alliance with the same Congress party whom he earlier accused of these scams. And now he wants to campaign for the BJP, if they accept his demand. Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari showed no interest in Kejriwal’s promise to help the BJP in 2019 General elections, he said, “The AAP is trying to hide its bad governance and divert public attention to other issues.” The BJP knows how good Arvind Kejriwal is in delivering his promises, a Chief Minister who speaks on all the issues be it National or Global apart from issues concerning the public of Delhi. He has broken all the promises which he made and now he is making more promises only to break them in future.
