Congress wants to take down Amit Shah and Piyush Goyal at any cost

Amit Shah Piyush Goyal

One of PM Modi’s main poll promises in 2014 was of a clean and corruption free government. Previous UPA II government, led by the Congress, had become synonymous with corruption. People of the country were fed up of new cases of corruption tumbling out of the Congress closets every day. Modi government was hence voted to power in want of a clean and corruption free government. And it didn’t let the people down. There is not even a single case of corruption against any BJP minister or leader. Although, the desperate Congress party, many times through their propaganda machinery, has leveled baseless charges against the BJP ministers but they have all fallen flat on their faces. Often, a simple google search has been enough to prove the hollowness and inanity of Congress’ allegations.

The Congress party targeted two BJP stalwarts in particular. The first name would be Piyush Goyal, who happens to be one of the most efficient and best performing ministers of Modi cabinet. It would not be wrong to say that the man who made DISCOMs proftable, made 100% electrification a reality, brought train accidents to a historical low is a treasured gem of the BJP. The other stalwart is BJP chief Amit Shah himself who has reduced the Congress party to a glorified regional party from a thriving national outfit.

The Congress propaganda machinery has a pattern. Every alternate month, at least one hitjob is planned against these two stalwarts by some Congress crony in the media industry. It comes across as an expose, an interesting finding or an old secret. The Congress party then goes on to propagandize it. The many hitjobs on Piyush Goyal where they claimed to unearth some of Mr. Piyush Goyal’s misdoings while he was on the board of a company. Lies may have a high virality quotient, but their shelf life is limited. Their untruths have been debunked and exposed by a number of committed fact finding and verification portal including ours.

Talking about Amit Shah, his detractors haven’t even spared his family. The Jay Shah (Amit Shah’s son) case would be a good example of it where ‘The Wire’ came across an interesting finding and went on a full throttle attack. They even dragged the Prime Minister in the case and ended up getting reproached by the court. Currently they are fighting Jay Shah in court as the latter slapped a defamation suit of Rs. 100 Crore.

The latest hitjob of the Congress party against Amit Shah has crossed every limit of stupidity and irrationality. Just like all other previous lies, this one also bit the dust almost instantly. After NABARD’s pointed rebuttal, rightlog pulverized  the baseless Congress propaganda against Amit Shah.

Not very long back, they created controversy around the natural death of Judge Loya. Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra exposed the political conspiracies around CBI Justice Loya’s death. While dismissing a petition seeking an independent probe into CBI Justice Loya’s death, the apex court expressed anguish regarding how the PIL jurisdiction was misused for personal and political agenda.

So, what are they getting out of it? It is said “repeat a lie a thousand times and people will start believing in it”, this is exactly what the Congress intends to achieve with the regular and systematic targeting of BJP President Amit Shah and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Congress wants to send a message across, that BJP is a corrupt organization right from the party level, all the way to the government level. And there cannot be a better target than the party president himself to prove that BJP is a corrupt party and if you succeed in establishing the belief that the best performing minister of a cabinet is corrupt, the entire cabinet gets branded as corrupt.

As General elections 2019 approach expect the targeting and attacks to get more frequent and more vicious.
