The image of Pakistan has considerably dwindled in the past few years due to its own actions. PM Modi and his rebuilding of India’s relations with America have ensured pressure on Pakistan on a global scale. Monetary and military aids flowing into Pakistan from USA have also significantly reduced. The international community has suddenly started taking notice of Pakistan’s involvement in breeding and providing help to the terrorists. Islamic terrorism had never been taken lightly by the western world but Pakistan’s part in these was usually not accounted in spite of several pleas by the former Indian governments. The Modi government has set up unprecedented records in terms of lobbying and image building in the international community. His approach has reduced the help being received by Pakistan from other countries to just one county China. China the all weather ally of Pakistan backs it whenever the need arise while Pakistan foolishly keeps on giving more and more of its resources to the Red Dragon. But even China cannot stand up against every foolish move made by Pakistan. According to a report published in The Hindu, China wants Pakistan to relocate Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed to another country. China’s suggestion to Pakistan comes after multiple countries have put pressure to act against the JuD chief.

Hafeez Saeed, according to the Chinese President Xi Jinping should be moved to some West Asian country. This suggestion was given to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi by President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Boao Forum held in China last month. As revealed by a close, anonymous aide of Mr. Abbasi to The Hindu there was a 35 minute discussion which took place between the Chinese President and the Pakistani PM. A good 10 minutes out of the 35 were allotted to discussion related to Saeed with President Xi Jinping stressing on Mr. Abbasi to find a solution for Saeed issue. China wants Pakistan to keep Hafiz Saeed out of the limelight, relocating him to another country might just do the trick. PM Abbasi after consulting the legal team is likely to pass on the information to the next government as his tenure ends on May 31. JuD has become a problem for Pakistan internally as well as externally. JuD chief Hafiz Saeed plans to contest elections and form government in Pakistan while its identity as a terrorist organization and providing back up to the Islamic extremists blemishes the image of the Muslim Nation in the international community as well.

America has become proactive in persecuting Hafiz Saeed and JuD. JuD was put up in the list of banned organizations before the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) 2017 meeting in Paris. Pakistan also faced severe criticism and has been forced to end terror groups running on its soil in order to reclaim a part of its reputation. China which claims to be an all weather ally has shown through this move that Pakistan is nothing but a pawn which it uses against India. The treatment meted out to the muslims in China shows the treatment the Pakistanis will receive at China’s hands once it comes under full control of the Red Dragon. It seems the Pakistanis and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed will learn lessons in maintaining peace and ending terrorism the hard way. PM Modi and his efforts have ensured that Pakistan’s most trusted allies too have started rebuking them for their shortcomings, a great sign for India and PM Modi style of diplomacy.
