Shashi Tharoor

Shashi Tharoor has been a former diplomat, a Minister of State in the UPA Government and a spokesperson as well. Shashi Tharoor is also an acclaimed writer, having authored 16 bestselling works of fiction and non-fiction since 1981, all of which are centred on India and its history, culture, film, politics, society, foreign policy, and more. He has penned hundreds of columns and articles in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME, Newsweek, and The Times of India.

Shashi Tharoor is currently serving as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala since 2009 BUT Tharoor remains in news more for his undecipherable tweets than for his work as a Member of Parliament.

This tweet by Shashi Tharoor made the entire country look up an obscure word ‘Farrago”. Farrago was an instant hit and led to a chain reaction of tweets and memes. It even led to an unprecedented increase in the number of times the word farrago was looked up on Google.

Few days back, Shashi Tharoor introduced us to a new word ‘rodomontade‘. For the uninitiated, rodomontade means ‘boastful or inflated talk or behaviour’ (Yes I had to look it up too).

But that’s not all, Shashi Tharoor is also a gorgeous man and has been a top favourite of womenfolk around the country. A great vocabulary coupled with elegant looks is an irresistible combination after all. So when we found this picture on Twitter, it had our undivided attention.

Hence we asked our Followers to caption the pic, and the results were hilarious.
