PM Modi gave him 30 Months, Nitin Gadkari Completed Delhi-Meerut Expressway in Just 14 Months

Gadkari Modi Meerut

The Way Narendra Modi is winning one election after another is surreal, but one cannot deny the role of his right-hand-man, chief strategist and BJP’s national president Amit Shah. However, one of the most important factors which mostly remains buried in the background is the impressive performance of PM Modi’s ministers who have been relentlessly pursuing PM Modi’s Dream of a “New India”!  And Ministers like Piyush Goyal, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman believe in a low decibel working model which is less for the media and more for the people.

The highways and roads of a country play an important role in the development and overall progress of it. In India, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari has left no stone unturned to fulfil PM Modi’s dream of connecting every village in India through a network of roads and highways. Nitin Gadkari has been one of those ministers who has turned the promises of PM Modi’s Election Manifesto of 2014 into reality.

There’s a very famous saying about Nitin Gadkari’s working style – Gadkari finishes work before the target set by PM Modi, and this makes him such a big favourite of the Prime Minister

Inauguration of the first part of Delhi-Meerut Expressway in New Year:

Thanks to Gadkari’s performance, Prime Minister Modi is going to gift a new expressway to the country in the new year. Prime Minister is going to inaugurate the first part of the country’s first 14-lane Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The first phase of the first 14-lane Delhi Meerut Expressway will be completed next month. There will also be a 14-lane, 2.5-meter bicycle track on this highway. After the construction of this road, it will take just 45 minutes to travel from Delhi to Meerut, while currently due to frequent traffic jams on this route, it takes more than 3 hours. The most interesting thing about this expressway is that the prime minister had given 30 months to Gadkari to build this highway, but it will be completed in a record 14 month, a testimonial of Gadkari’s commitment and work efficiency.

Delhi Meerut Expressway will be a 90-kilometre-long fast roadway. On this expressway, there will be 14 lanes from Delhi to Dasna and 6-lanes from Dasna till Meerut. As per Gadkari 75% of the work for connecting Expressway from Nizamuddin bridge to Delhi UP Border has been completed.

Pollution will be reduced by fifty percent:

This road will have 6-lane expressway in the middle and a 4-lane highway on both sides of the road so that the traffic of the city can be separated from the traffic coming from outside. The first phase of this Express Way stretches for about nine kilometres. There will also be a vertical garden on Yamuna bridge and solar lights on the roads. 40,000 plants are also being planted along the side of the road. So that pollution can be kept in check. Gadkari said that there have been firm instructions to keep the are dust free by regular sprinkling of water. He said that the Government is also considering using vacuum cleaner to clean the road so that the problem of dust can be overcome.

In order to reduce pollution in Delhi, the Central Government has issued a tender for connecting Delhi-Agra with waterways by plying a ship in Yamuna river. The new year can prove to be a relief for the Delhiites, who have been battling pollution since time immemorial. In the new year, the first phase of the Delhi Meerut Expressway will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and on the other hand Eastern Peripheral will also be formed. Due to the commissioning of this road project, polluting freight trucks will be stopped from entering Delhi. On the other hand, other projects worth Rs 40 thousand crore will be started in the new year to decongest Delhi roads.
