2 days, 2 horrific incidents, but media chose to ignore, probably because the perpetrators don’t suit their agenda

Rampur Delhi media

On the 27th of May, a man in Delhi was beaten to death in Delhi over a scuffle that ensued when the victim, Ravinder, confronted the perpetrators when he saw them urinating in public near the GTB Metro station. The victim, inspired by Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, urged the perpetrators to urinate in a public toilet but the murderers didn’t take the advice kindly as they returned an hour later with their buddies in bikes with weapons and thrashed Ravinder to death.

The Union Minister, Venkaiah Naidu took to twitter to condemn the incident and promised that appropriate action will be taken against the murderers and none shall be spared. The authorities, however, are yet to ascertain the identities of the murderers but suspect that students from the Delhi University might be involved. The victim’s brother, Vijender alleged that two of the youths had arrived from Kirorimal College which is nearby to the spot where the incident happened.

The incident at Delhi is one of the two horrific incidents that has transpired in the past few days. As per this Twitter user, the culprits in this cases are:

In Uttar Pradesh, in an incident that has rattled the consciousness of the nation, 14 men molested two women and uploaded the video on Social Media. The perpetrators in this case have all been identified and the Police under the governance of Yogi ji has taken swift action on the matter. The UP Police has been very proactive about the matter as outrage on Social Media gathered enormous proportions. The UP Police has been tweeting regular updates about their progress on the case and 9 of the 14 perpetrators have been arrested so far. The Police expects to catch the rest of them soon as they have already been identified.

The most disconcerting aspect about the whole Uttar Pradesh molestation incident is the fact that all the perpetrators are from the Peaceful community and victims are Dalits. Watching the video, one cannot shake off the feeling that it has a disturbing similarity with Taharrush, the frightening and sickening Arab Rape game. Taharrush has already spread to Europe out with the massive influx of Islamic refugees, as one could figure out from the incidents over the past year, and the latest incident at Uttar Pradesh makes one wonder if it has come to India as well. The Arabization of India’s Muslim culture isn’t really anything but if they are really appropriating the worst aspects of Arab culture, then it is really something that we should all be very concerned about.

The Media which was initially very interested in the matter as it was another instance of lawlessness in ‘Yogi’s UP’ soon lost interest in the matter as the names of the perpetrators was discovered. Similarly the Delhi case caused no intolerance as the perpetrators in that case are allegedly from a certain peaceful creed again.

The Secular parties, which one would have expected to create a lot of ruckus over the crime overlooked the matter as it would deeply hurt their fantasy of ‘Dalit-Muslim’ unity. However, the UP Police needs to be commended for the swiftness it has shown over the matter and one hopes that the rest of the criminals are caught soon enough and are awarded the harshest of punishments.

The pace at which media has shifted from Modi’s India to Yogi’s UP while reporting on any crime in Uttar Pradesh is truly remarkable. It seems, after the defeat of the Samajwadi Party in the elections, the media has finally discovered that Law and Order is a State issue and the Central government has little to do with it. However, staying true to their nature, they hardly offered a compliment on the swift action taken by the UP Police. Amusingly, these were the same people who had vilified Yogi Adityanath for the creation of an Anti-Romeo Squad for dealing precisely with these rogue elements. Perhaps, they can now appreciate why Yogi Adityanath was insistent on having a specific unit dedicated to the sole purpose of the safety of women.
