A team of doctors mailed PM Modi hoping for a miracle, and the miracle did happen

PM Modi

UP just witnessed a high octane political drama. Emotions were running high. UP is a crucial state after all. The 66-year-young PM of India spearheaded the saffron alliance’s campaign. The campaign was relentless, physically demanding and mentally wearing. But PM Modi scared the living daylights out of the regional chieftains who between themselves have ruled UP for 3 straight terms.

Despite his hectic electioneering schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn’t ignore his duties of that of a Super PM. PM Modi came to the rescue of an eight-day-old girl child last Saturday, when he ensured a green corridor from the Delhi airport to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

The Family:

Kalita Dhrubajyoti, the girl child’s father works in Bhramaputra Cracker and Polymer, a Central government enterprise in Dibrugarh, Assam. The mother of the infant, Himakshi Saharia is a primary school teacher.

The Ailment:

The kid was diagnosed with Meconium Aspiration Syndrome – an ailment in which the first stool of the baby enters its lungs. If inhaled, these contaminated fluids can cause fatal respiratory disorders.

Doctor’s verdict:

Unable to treat the ailment fully at Dibrugarh, the doctors of Aditya Hospital in Dibrugarh, arranged an air ambulance which was scheduled to land at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport around 7 pm. The kid was supposed to be admitted in Sir Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi.

The Problem:

The flight was supposed to take 6 hours and the ventilator had just seven hours of power backup. And 7 PM is a time when traffic congestion on Delhi roads in at the peak. A green corridor was required.

The Workarounds:

The doctors started calling their powerful contacts in polity and media to somehow bring the traffic to a halt, but that didn’t happen. Finally, they decided to do the impossible. They decided to knock at the highest door. That of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But PM Modi and his team were busy in road shows in Varanasi and the chance of reaching him was poor. But fortunately, they had the personal email of the Prime Minister and it was told to them that that he checks his emails personally on his phone. They shot an email, and waited for what seemed like an eternity. Meanwhile the plane landed in Lucknow for refuelling. There was no response from the PM.

PM Modi responds:

PM Modi didn’t respond to the mail but ensured action in the best way possible. Suddenly, there were calls from the Commissioner of Police and Traffic Commissioner of Delhi asking details of the air ambulance and location of evacuation. And like that, the traffic came to a halt and a green corridor was created.

The Happy Ending:

The girl child was safely taken to Sir Gangaram Hospital. As per the doctors, she is out of danger and showing good signs of recovery. She’ll be hale and hearty in a few weeks.

Finishing words:

Be happy dear countrymen and be proud. We have a PM, a once-in-a-lifetime PM, who doesn’t just rule but also listens to the common people. What a time to live in this beautiful country!
