The inversion of reality has always been the hallmark of the Liberals. Liberals, for a long time now, have attempted to win arguments by defaming and maligning their opponents instead of engaging in an honest debate. But times have changed and their tactics do not work anymore. The world has moved on but liberals have failed to keep up with it. Thus, it happened that in a rally at Fatehpur when Narendra Modi spoke against Minority Appeasement, Liberals and Secularists were up in arms against Modi for his comments which they deemed to be communal.
Narendra Modi remarked if Kabristans were being built by the government, then it is only fair that money is allotted for Shamshaan too. If electricity is available during Eid, then it’s only fair that electricity is available during Diwali as well. Quite obviously, Narendra Modi was hinting towards the rabid Minority Appeasement that the Samajwadi Party Sarkaar had pursued during its rule. Practicing Vote Bank Politics for electoral victories isn’t really something new. All secular parties have practiced it in some form or another all the while they have been in power in states or the Center.
By some twisted mental gymnastics, Liberals have come to convince themselves that Minority Appeasement isn’t Communal in nature but speaking out against it is. One can only fathom the inner mechanisms of the Liberal mind that allows them to look away from blatant instances of Minority Appeasement but shriek in moral indignation and allege the person of being a communal bigot when one promises to end it. Liberals were conspicuous in their silence when the Samajwadi Party unashamedly indulged in Vote Bank politics and they’re only revealing the atrocious extent of their duplicity when they accuse Narendra Modi of communalism for pointing out the obvious.
One can understand that Liberals aren’t really fond of the BJP and do not want them to fare well in elections. It very well explains how they have merrily ignored the monumental failure that Akhilesh Yadav has been and continue to paint Rahul Gandhi as a serious political leader. But when one’s political inclinations motivates him or her to ignore the misery of the people that have suffered due to sheer incompetence of the government and makes one neglect the blatant communal politics that the ruling party has been engaging in, it gives us an insight into the morbid psyche of the Liberal mind. Liberals would rather have people suffer and communal polarization and discrimination against Hindus through Minority Appeasement than have the BJP win an election.
Should Hindus alone be provided special benefits by the government or granted a facility that the minority community isn’t eligible for, liberals and secularists will rave and rant about persecution of minorities but when a particular minority community is provided one benefit after another at the expense of the majority community, they turn a blind eye to the entire sorry spectacle. It’s not merely because they don’t want BJP to take advantage by pointing out the communal politics practiced by the secular parties, it’s because somewhere deep down they reserve a deep-seated hatred for Hindus as a whole. It’s not that they ignore discrimination against Hindus because it would benefit the BJP, it’s more that they hate BJP because it’s seen as a Hindu Nationalist political party. It’s meaningless to speculate on why they hate Hindus so much because it hardly matters. The truth is they hate Hindus and Hindus must act accordingly.
Narendra Modi at Fatehpur merely echoed the words of Yogi Adityanath when he spoke of Kabristan and Shamshan. Yogi Adityanath has been a stalwart for BJP in UP and is a star campaigner for them.
Yogi has reiterated time and again the blatant communalism practiced by the Samajwadi Party and demolished the arguments of the liberals and the secularists who have ignored the discrimination against Hindus but label him as communal for speaking out against it. Yogi Adityanath has repeatedly spoken out against the deplorable law and order situation in the state and it was good to hear Narendra Modi speak of the same in his rally. But the moment of the rally was perhaps when Narendra Modi took a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, “Jab unhone hath pakda, tab nikle rath par;Taar k taar latak rahe the, kaanp rahe the ki current na lag jaye; Akhilesh nhi, unke naye saathi.”
