After chastising Pakistan, India humbles the Chinese

Indian Chinese Ladakh

In an earlier post, TFI Columnist Vasu Vashisht explained how troops from India and China were engaged in a stand-off since Wednesday in Ladakh’s Demchok area as the troops of Chinese People’s liberation army entered an area near the Line of Actual Control and stopped the construction work on an irrigation canal under MNREGA.

As soon as the engineers started laying the water pipes and the Chinese troops came to the LAC and stopped the work. As per the sources there were around 55 PLA soldiers on the scene and who resorted to overtly aggressive mannerism and halted the work prompting the Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel to rush to the spot and stop the Chinese troops in the area.

This is the same area that had witnessed a similar incident in 2014 after the government decided to construct a small irrigation canal at Nilung Nalla under the MNREGA scheme. There was a faceoff between the Indian and the Chinese forces back then too.

Manmohan Singh’s regime saw countless incursions by the Chinese. Once the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops intruded 19 km into Indian Territory across the line of actual control during. They went ahead and set up tents in the Daulat Beg Oldi sector. The faceoff continued for a fortnight.

But Manmohan Singh is a chapter in History now and the Indian Army and Para Military forces are emboldened under Modi’s regime. They responded to Pakistan in a language they best understand and today the Chinese were humbled too.

Today in the presence of Indian Army and the ITBP, Army engineers finished the work for laying a water pipeline for irrigation purpose for local villagers in Ladakh division. Source

And this comes after India deployed India Brahmos SuperSonic Cruise Missile to counter Chinese military buildup along the border. This certainly sends a strong message to the Chinese that India will not be bullied anymore.
