Demonetization: Let’s talk about inconvenience it caused

cash crunch Inconvenience India Narendra Modi Demonetization

Let’s talk about inconvenience, given it happens to be the trending word ever since the government announced demonetization. The word inconvenience is a hit among the liberals and stooges of the conventional political setup in India.

Now let us see where inconvenience happens to be prevalent:

…and so on

Also, from 1947 to 2015, and this is just a single unexpected expenditure of the Central Government I am mentioning.

The amount required to cater to flood damage, for instance, has increased by 160%. The Central Government now spends roughly 5000 Crore Rupees each year to cater to states that have floods.

This year, almost a dozen states suffered due to floods. Last year, Tamil Nadu alone got over 1000 Crore rupees. To make things worse, we are also witnessing a situation where droughts and floods occur simultaneously, in the same state.

Now, back to inconvenience.

Imagine collecting funds for running a society with 130 flats. Let’s assume the society can function smoothly even when 60-90 of them can’t pay. That’s being overly optimistic, but for the sake of it, let’s assume so. Now, out of the remaining 40-70 flats, what if only 4 flats pay the annual maintenance rent? Can the society function well? Would the security, gardening, plumbing, and other repairs be top notch and efficient?

Sure, the society management has other ways to raise money, but does that undermine the importance of individual collection from each flat?

This is what the ‘System’ we blame faces. Out of a population of roughly 130 Crore people, only 4 Crore people pay their taxes. Some reports suggest 1-2 Crore, some government backed periodicals suggest 4%, but it’s more about the approximation, and this happens because people are not willing to pay their taxes, and instead transact in black to avoid the radar of IT. It happens with property dealers, jewelers, doctors, and in many other professions.

Standing in a queue for 30 minutes is inconvenience. But a bigger one is to run a country of 130 Crore people when only 4% of them pay their taxes.

Also, the media won’t tell you this but will keep on ranting about inconvenience because of demonetization, because their priorities are screwed up and motives highly crooked.

This was a preview to our upcoming article on this topic that remains largely untouched.
